Are you a recruitment expert ready to make a real impact across a global financial institution? SMBC Group is seeking a dynamic and self-sufficient Talent Acquisition Partner to join our growing EMEA Talent Acquisition team. This role will be based in Paris, with a primary focus on Front Office hiring across France, and additional coverage for Germany when required.

This position is well suited to someone who is comfortable operating independently, taking ownership of a complex hiring portfolio, and partnering directly with senior stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

About the role

As a key member of the Talent Acquisition Centre of Excellence, you will lead end-to-end recruitment for mainly permanent Front Office roles up to Executive Director level, primarily supporting Paris and the wider French business, with additional coverage for Germany as needed.

Working with a high degree of autonomy, you will act as the subject matter expert for Front Office recruitment in France, managing searches from brief through to offer, and advising the business on market trends, hiring approaches, and employment legislation. While part of a wider EMEA TA community, this role requires someone confident in working independently, setting priorities, and driving outcomes with minimal supervision.

This is a high-impact role offering strong visibility with senior stakeholders and the opportunity to influence Front Office hiring strategy across Continental Europe. There will also be the need to cover non-front office hiring when required.

What You’ll Do

  • Independently manage and deliver end-to-end recruitment for Front Office roles across France, with additional support to Germany when required
  • Partner closely with Front Office hiring managers, HR Business Partners, and TA leads to define hiring needs and recruitment strategies
  • Act as a trusted advisor on French employment law, ensuring compliant and consistent hiring practices
  • Build and maintain robust Front Office talent pipelines using direct sourcing and market mapping

Champion SMBC’s employer brand and inclusive hiring practices

Collaborate effectively with direct sourcing teams, agencies, and external partners

Use data and market insight to inform hiring decisions and continuously improve recruitment outcomes

Contribute to wider EMEA transformation and continuous improvement initiatives

What you'll bring

  • Proven experience in in-house or RPO recruitment, ideally within financial services
  • Strong track record of recruiting for Front Office roles (e.g. Sales, Trading, Banking, Markets)
  • Solid working knowledge of French employment law and recruitment practices
  • Fluent in French (essential); German language skills desirable but not essential
  • Comfortable working independently, managing competing priorities, and owning outcomes end to end
  • Ability to build credibility quickly with senior stakeholders
  • Strong direct sourcing capability and understanding of Front Office talent markets
  • Experience using ATS platforms (SuccessFactors preferred)
  • Able to operate effectively in a fast-paced, international environment

Location

This role is based in our Paris office, with a hybrid working arrangement.
