Position Description
Opening Job Position : IT Security Officer
We are currently seeking to appoint an IT Security Officer who will be responsible for overseeing key aspects of our IT operations. The primary responsibilities of this role include:
- Managing IT-related projects, maintenance, and support activities.
- Assisting in the implementation, maintenance, and control of critical IT security systems and services.
Business Area
The Paris IT Security Department holds responsibility for the following domains of operation.
Provisioning, maintenance and monitoring of IT support, services and equipment to all users and departments / Developing and maintaining a comprehensive security system that aligns with business objectives and industry best practices. / Ensuring that adequate physical security controls are implemented, maintained, monitored and reported.
Paris IT Security Department works cross-functionally with IT, legal, risk, and business units to embed security into every layer of technology and operations.
Role Summary - Principal Role
Please find below the key responsibilities associated with the roles
Principal Roles:
IT Project management. (EMEA / Local Project)
- Lead and manage IT projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with business goals, stakeholder expectations, and technical requirements.
- Liaise with 1st line technical support and control implementation of solutions as directed by internal and external parties.
IT local applications ownership
- Liaise with external vendors / Internal support team to ensure good condition on local application. (This involves Implementation / Upgrade / Maintenance)
- Document required procedures/technical information to manage local applications.
IT Facility ownership
- Ensure the reliability, security, and efficiency of IT facilities by liaising with Internal / external support. This involves installation / maintenance / upgrades / Disposal of IT equipment.
IT infrastructure ownership
- Assist in ensuring stability, scalability, and security of the organization's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage, and cloud environment by liaising with Internal / External support team.
Regulatory watch
- Ensure the organization remains informed and compliant with evolving regulatory requirements by proactively monitoring and analysing relevant legal and policy.
On Call Duty on Facility related matter (Out of Business Hour)
- 1st line On-call duty support during out of business hour (Issues on Electrical equipment, water leaks etc..)
Vender management
- Overseeing relationships with external suppliers and service providers to ensure value, compliance, and performance.
- Manage lifecycle of vendor relationships to ensure that external partners deliver goods and services that meet organizational standards for quality, cost, compliance, and performance.
Role Summary - Backup Role
Back up Roles:
Physical security control
- Assist in maintaining reports on physical security related works and access requests with internal and external parties.
- Supervise on-site contractors while maintaining or implementing security, network, server or other physical security related matter.
- Supervises on-site contractors while maintenance or implementation of security, network, server, or other physical security concerns.
End User Support
- Provide IT helpdesk support to officers in all department in Paris office.
- Support and monitor technology infrastructure for all IT related services including but not limited to network and server management, application management and general IT infrastructure such as telephony, PC’s and corporate mobile phones.
- Track, monitor, and escalate tickets issued for IT-related matters
Asset Control
- Manage and maintain the organization's IT asset inventory, ensuring accurate tracking and lifecycle management of hardware and software assets.
- Assist in ensuring all IT assets are reported, monitored, and disposed of as per applicable policies and procedures.
- Assist in ensuring all IT purchase orders, contracts and invoices are issued, tracked, monitored, and paid for in a timely manner.
BCP Management
- Assist / manage BCM (Business Continuity Management) on Paris operations with internal / external support / vender / landlord.
Policy-Procedure Management
- Develop, maintain, and enforce IT policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and organizational goals.
Data Governance / Data Protection
- Assist in establishing and maintaining frameworks, policies, and controls to ensure the integrity, security, and proper use of data across the organization.
IT Service Governance

- Assist in establishing and overseeing governance frameworks that IT services are delivered efficiently, securely, and in alignment with business objectives.
