Role Summary

Is the next step in your career at SMBC Group EMEA? We’re looking for a HR Apprentice for our HR Department in Paris to join our team. 

This role will:

  • Assist HR Paris Team in performing the branch HR missions
  • Assist on recruitment and onboarding/offboarding activities
  • Participate in producing HR documentation, analytics and risk assessment
  • Participle to HR projects
  • Ensure that these missions are delivered on time and at the right quality levels

Business Area

The HR Department is responsible for the delivery of services that requires query handling and transactions to be carried out these include recruitment, onboarding and leaver process, payroll, benefits, immigration, HR analytics, performance, promotion, remuneration, learning & development, talent management, succession planning, Employee relations, disciplinary sanctions, litigations, Unions & Work Council.

The role holder understands the Bank’s policies, apply them on daily work and be able to explain these to Employees.

The role holder is able to establish relationship with HR team in London and Germany to perform his tasks.

Position Description

The role will maintain effective relationships with a network of employees who deliver services in France, London and Germany

The role’s customers include – over 150 employees and managers in Paris; HRBPs, Central Support and HR services Team in London; Finance and Control, Compliance and Planning Department locally

The role holder will contribute to the delivery for the following services:

- Recruitment
- Background screening
- Onboarding & offboarding activities
- Trial period follow-up
- Prepare Labour contract and side-letters, attestation 
- Participate to develop and improve SMBC Local HR Policies and processes
- Produce regular Reporting and dashboard
- Participate to ad hoc HR projects (local and EMEA)
