Is the next step in your career at SMBC Group EMEA? We’re looking for a Director for our Global Markets department, Securities Finance Group to join our team.
Role Summary
This is a leadership role provides strategic oversight of Repo and Reverse Repo activity, optimising funding, balance sheet utilisation, and risk management across the platform. You will play a key role in expanding Securities Finance capabilities in EMEA and supporting the establishment of the trading function within Bank EU.
Role Essentials
- Lead and oversee Repo and Reverse Repo execution, ensuring efficient funding and collateral optimisation.
- Drive revenue growth, balance sheet efficiency, and expansion of the counterparty network across EMEA.
- Partner closely with Treasury, Fixed Income Trading,Operations and senior stakeholders to deliver strategic financing solutions.
Candidate Requirements
- Front-office experience in securities finance, repo trading, or fixed income financing.
- Proven leadership capability with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive strategic initiatives.
- Strong commercial acumen, risk awareness, and experience operating within robust governance frameworks.
