Role Summary
The internship is within Corporate Banking Department II (CBD2), the front office coverage department covering a portfolio of primarily 40+ large corporate groups in France, Belgium and Luxembourg.
The intern will be part of the Credit Team which is in charge of the financial analyses and monitoring of corporate customers and related transactions/ credit facilities . The intern will team up with a Senior Credit Analyst and also work with the other credit analysts in our Paris and Brussels teams to support them in their day-to-day credit analysis & monitoring tasks.
CBD2 Credit team currently consists of 6 officers o/w 1 Head of Credit “HoC” and 5 credit analysts based in Paris and Brussels.
Position Description
CBD2 Credit team is looking for a new intern to join the team for a 6-month period starting in January 2026.
As an intern in the CBD2 Credit team, you will:
- Support the Paris Credit Team in their day-to-day credit analysis tasks, of which notably the annual review process (financial & business analysis, risk assessment, internal grading, etc), the annual renewals of facilities, potential waiver request, etc.
- Participate to the analysis of new transaction applications (incl. the onboarding of new corporate clients).
- Take some direct responsibility for simple monitoring cases and / or straight-forward requests (eg simple credit line extensions/ waiver, etc).
- Support the Team regarding potential credit related ad-hoc requests or projects at CBD2 Paris or EMEA level.
Profile
- Student in Finance, end of cursus or caesura in Business or Engineering School,
- Understanding of financial products and markets and some knowledge of financial analysis/accounting,
- 1st experience as an Intern in the financing or accounting world.
Skills valued
- Fluent in English and French (written and spoken)
- Good knowledge of Fr/ European Economic Environment
- Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, PPT, Word, etc)
- Analytical skills with specific ability to communicate concepts and ideas concisely
- Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Good knowledge of financial analysis
- Ability to take initiatives and work with autonomy
