Section 2 – Purpose of Job

  • To enable the Bank develop and enhance cash & treasury management products to meet customer needs and to contribute the global strategy of cash management / transaction banking services of the Bank
  • To support new product development, testing and implementation process
  • To liaise with multiple departments across the Bank to deliver new ideas and concepts

Section 3 – Background

With the advance of technology, our customers’ needs are constantly evolving and at a much faster pace.

The role of the Vice President in GTBD Product Planning is to assist the Manager to develop new cash and treasury management products and enhance existing solutions by identifying potential area of improvements and customer needs, generating product requirements; conducting certain market research; determining specifications, production timelines, pricing, and assisting in developing its marketing strategies.  The job requires close working relationships with relevant departments such as the Front Offices, GTBD Promotion Team, Operations, Treasury, Compliance, Risk Management, and Information Systems, both in EMEA and other regions, to deliver products and solutions that are beneficial to the customers and ultimately to the Bank’s business enhancement.

Section 6 – Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Experiences in cash and treasury management product development, specifically in the areas of treasury management products such as the use of virtual account management tool to support accounts payable/receivable reconciliation, virtual cash concentration/sweeping, cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, etc.
    •    Experiences with agile development methodology in the cash & treasury management product space
    •    General knowledge in payments industry and trend – Swift, SEPA, ISO20022, etc.
    •    Working knowledge in client implementation / onboarding process
    •    Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholders
    •    Strong problem-solving skills & attention to detail
    •    Ability to work under pressure
    •    Ability to work in a team and individually
    •    Organisational skills with the capability of working towards tight deadlines

The main challenges will be to while following the ever-evolving financial market regulations and trends, and trying to adopt technological changes to the organization and somewhat traditional customers, at the same time trying to develop services and solutions within what appears to be growingly limited resources.

 

 

Section 5 – Accountabilities & Responsibilities

Working closely with other branches' and own branch's back offices and front offices to provide best service to corporate cash management customers while aiming to reduce the bank's manual operational burdens, setting up procedures for new products and new initiatives, reaching agreements with other departments on various GTBD initiatives.

 

Analyse internal / external workflows, organise meetings and discussions with all bank departments concerned including the Bank’s New Products Committee, obtain agreement from all parties in achieving new product designs / new business flows and review legal and compliance implications.

 

Prioritise items for cash management channel enhancements and improvements for the multiple development cycles (service upgrade cycles) each year, by reviewing and analysing existing and future product features, conducting user acceptance testing in each product delivery cycle and assisting in finalising service implementation into the BAU environment.

 

Provide customer communications / notifications with regard to new products / system upgrades, plan new product roll-out to clients, at the same time enabling GTBD staff on new system features by arranging workshops and creating User Guide materials.

 

Participating in cash management-related bank wide projects such as involvement in the Swift ISO20022 migration project and other regulatory / technology changes, which will have a big impact on the way the Bank may operate in the future.

 

Assisting the GTBD Teams in trouble shooting and customer support, providing advice, product knowledge and suggestions on customer RFPs. Identifying risks and make recommendations where possible.

 

Contribute to establishing global strategy of transaction banking services  through market research or obtaining customer needs.
