Role Summary
Is the next step in your career at SMBC? We’re looking for Interns or Working Students (m/f/d) to join various departments across our Corporate & Investment Banking and Finance functions in Milan, Frankfurt, Paris or London.

In this role you will be:
- Supporting the analysis, modelling and structuring of new financing transactions, including corporate refinancings
- Preparing detailed credit applications, risk assessments and internal committee presentations
- Contributing to market and sector analyses, borrower profiling and peer benchmarking
- Assisting in the ongoing monitoring of a diversified leveraged loan portfolio, including covenant checks and performance reviews
- Helping draft pitch materials and client presentations for origination and relationship management activities
For you to succeed in the role, you’ll need to have:
- A strong academic background in finance or business
- Fluency in English
- Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
