Role Summary
Is the next step in your career at SMBC Group EMEA? We’re looking for an associate to join our Data Control team;
To complete inputting of static data and ensure other assigned daily team tasks are completed accurately and on time.
The candidate should;
Be able to process detailed information quickly, effectively and consistently.
Have the ability to adhere to tight deadlines and stringent controls.

Be self-motivated, energetic, flexible and collaborative.

Position Description
Responsibilities include;
- Primarily responsible for the inputting of customer registration and account maintenance in all SMBC/BI/EU systems. This includes account set up, registration of bank and corporate SSI details, registration of vendor information, bond registration, maintenance of currency and holiday calendars and the input of direct debits, stop cheques and restrictions.
- Monitor incoming Swift messages for SSI notifications and complete all necessary updates in applicable settlement systems.
- Input the registration of CSA information into collateral systems and liaise directly with support teams, including Collateral Management, Treasury Department and Credit Limit Control.
- Play a key role in identifying data issues and complete data cleansing tasks. In conjunction with manager, obtains the necessary approvals, engages with relevant stakeholders and sees initiatives through to completion, providing regular updates throughout.
- Contribute regularly to the up date of desktop procedures and accurately follow them.
- Ensure real time and post validation checks, monitoring of group email inboxes, query management and completion of associated checklists.
- Engage with immediate stakeholders and support system enhancements and related UAT.
- Attend working group meetings and contribute with the timely delivery of objectives.
- Conduct any additional tasks related to Securities static as required.
