Role Summary:

This role leads the development and implementation of algorithmic trading systems to support the expansion of the eFX business, with a focus on building scalable technical infrastructure across the EMEA region. It requires strong project management skills and bilingual communication (Japanese and English) to coordinate across global teams and vendors.

Essentials of the Role:

1. Lead design and implementation of algorithmic trading solutions.
2. Build and scale technical infrastructure for the eFX business.
3. Manage cross-regional projects using Agile and waterfall methodologies.

Candidate Requirements:

1. Proficiency in both Japanese and English for effective stakeholder communication.
2. Strong technical background in trading systems and infrastructure.
3. Proven experience in project management within financial services.

Money Market System Support  - eFX (Electronic Foreign Exchange) Trading

Position Description

Purpose of the Role:

This role is pivotal in driving the development and implementation of business and technical projects to support the expansion of the eFX business, with a particular focus on algorithmic trading strategies. The position requires a blend of technical expertise, project management, and bilingual communication skills (Japanese and English) to coordinate across global teams and vendors, ensuring scalable infrastructure and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and optimization of algorithmic trading systems for the eFX business.
• Build and scale technical infrastructure to support business growth across the EMEA region.
• Manage full project lifecycles using Agile and waterfall methodologies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across Japan, EMEA, and the Americas to align project goals and execution.
• Ensure solutions meet business needs, quality standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., MiFID II).
• Provide operational support and incident response as needed, without compromising strategic initiatives.

Key Requirements:

Essential:

• Significant experience in IT within the banking/trading industry.
• Strong knowledge of FX and derivative trading systems.
• Proven project management skills with experience in Agile and waterfall methodologies.
• Experience in delivering full development lifecycles and building scalable infrastructure.

Desirable:

• Proficiency in both Japanese and English.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as MiFID II.
• Experience in cross-regional collaboration and stakeholder management.
