Our Client Services & Reporting team plays a key role in this growth, to support client relationships, new mandates, and regulatory requirements.

Role Summary

The role sits within the Client Services & Reporting team and is primarily responsible for the production, coordination, and continuous improvement of institutional client reporting across EMEA.

The role supports ongoing client engagement by ensuring the timely delivery of accurate, insightful, and client-ready reporting materials. Working closely with Investment, Client Relationship Management, Product, Operations, Risk, and Compliance teams, the individual will play a key role in communicating investment performance, portfolio developments, market insights, and firm updates to existing clients.

As a secondary responsibility, the role supports the completion and maintenance of Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs) and other information requests from existing clients and consultants, leveraging established reporting content and maintaining the quality and consistency of firm information.

The role requires strong written communication skills, attention to detail, and a data-oriented mindset, with responsibility for coordinating, analysing, validating, and presenting investment and business information in a clear and compelling format. The successful candidate will work across multiple teams to ensure reporting remains accurate, consistent, compliant, and delivered within agreed deadlines.

Success in the role is measured primarily through the quality, accuracy, timeliness, and continuous improvement of client reporting, alongside the effective support of client due diligence requirements.

Business Area

The Client Services & Reporting team plays an important role in supporting client engagement and commercial growth across EMEA through the delivery of high-quality institutional client reporting, client communications, RFPs and due diligence materials. The team is responsible for producing accurate, insightful, and client-ready content that communicates SMDAM's investment capabilities, performance, and market insights. Working closely with Investment, Client Relationship Management, Product, Operations, Risk, and Compliance teams, the function supports client retention, service delivery, regulatory requirements, and business growth across the region.

This is a newly created position reflecting the continued growth of SMDAM (UK)'s EMEA business, including the expansion of UCITS funds, investment products, and client mandates. The role has been established to support increasing reporting requirements and is not a replacement hire.

Position Description

The Client Services & Reporting team plays a critical role in supporting the firm’s commercial growth by delivering high‑quality, compelling client communications that directly support fundraising, client retention, and consultant engagement. The team is responsible for responding to questionnaires from existing and prospective clients, consultants, and platforms, and for producing EMEA‑based institutional client reporting that underpins sales, relationship management, and distribution activity.

Essentials of the Role

  • Bespoke reporting for segregated mandates: delivering tailored daily, monthly, and quarterly portfolio, performance, and risk reporting specifically aligned to individual segregated client requirements.
  • Reporting for UCITS Funds investors: coordinate and produce recurring and ad hoc institutional investor reporting across EMEA.
  • Extract, analyse, validate, and present quantitative and qualitative information from systems and data sources.
  • Work with teams to incorporate portfolio commentary, market insights, performance information, and investment updates into client reporting.
  • Ensure reporting accuracy through robust quality assurance and control processes.
  • Support the completion and maintenance of DDQs and client information requests for existing clients, investors, and consultants.
  • Maintain reporting templates, content repositories, and process documentation.
  • Leverage AI and technology to enhance reporting quality, data analysis, content management, and operational efficiency.

Technology & AI Enablement

  • The role actively leverages technology and AI to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability, including: Using AI tools to support data analysis, content generation, summarisation, and quality review.
  • Applying automation to improve reporting production processes. Supporting data analysis and insight generation for client reporting.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve operational effectiveness through technology-enabled solutions.

Stakeholder Engagement:

The role works closely with Client Relationship Management, Sales, Portfolio Management, Product Specialists, Operations, Risk, Legal & Compliance, and subject matter experts to deliver high-quality reporting and client communications.

Success requires strong collaboration skills, attention to detail, accountability, and the ability to manage multiple reporting deadlines within a regulated environment.

Essential

Strong experience producing client reporting, investment reporting, investor reporting, or client communications within the asset management industry.

Strong data handling, analytical, and quality control capabilities. Experience working with investment data, performance information, and reporting processes.

Excellent written communication and document production skills. Demonstrated ability to coordinate recurring reporting cycles, manage reporting deadlines, and maintain robust reporting controls within a regulated environment.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, FactSet and Aladdin. Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing deadlines across multiple time zones. Strong team-player with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, a proactive approach, and a positive, solutions-oriented mindset.
