Role Summary

This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop experience across Operational Resilience, Recovery & Resolution, Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) and People Risk within the Operational Risk function.

Working as part of a collaborative team, the role will support the ongoing enhancement and oversight of the organisation's resilience framework, helping to ensure alignment with regulatory expectations, including FCA/PRA Operational Resilience requirements and the EU Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA). The role will also contribute to activities relating to third-party oversight, recovery planning and people risk management.

The successful candidate will support the delivery of a range of policies, frameworks and risk management activities that contribute to the organisation's resilience capability. This role offers exposure to a broad range of stakeholders and provides an opportunity to develop technical knowledge across risk and resilience disciplines, while building skills in analysis, stakeholder engagement, review and challenge, and continuous improvement.

Position Description

As part of the Operational Resilience team, you will support activities across Operational Resilience, Recovery & Resolution and Third Party Risk Management. You will help identify, assess and monitor risks that could impact the delivery of critical business services, while developing an understanding of resilience frameworks, regulatory requirements and industry best practice.  Working with colleagues across Operations, Technology, Procurement and Risk, you will contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of resilience frameworks and supporting documentation. The role will provide exposure to regulatory expectations, including FCA/PRA Operational Resilience requirements, Basel principles and other emerging industry standards.

You will assist with a range of resilience activities, including reviewing business continuity and disaster recovery arrangements, supporting resilience testing exercises, analysing risk information and helping to monitor resilience capabilities. Through these activities, you will develop an understanding of how organisations prepare for, respond to and recover from disruption. The role will also provide exposure to third-party resilience risks, including outsourcing arrangements, critical suppliers and cloud service providers. You will support the assessment of risk management and governance arrangements, contribute to reporting and analysis, and assist with resilience testing involving key third-party dependencies. In addition, you will support the development and maintenance of resilience policies, frameworks and management information, while helping to prepare materials for governance forums and regulatory activities. This role offers an excellent opportunity to build technical knowledge, analytical skills and stakeholder management experience, providing a strong foundation for a career in risk and resilience management.
