Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Business Analyst with testing experience to join our dynamic team in the banking payments processing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business analysis, coupled with hands-on experience in testing, to ensure the successful delivery of payment IT solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of banking payment systems, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

The core deliverable for this candidate will be to undertake an end-to-end analysis of the existing testing process & capabilities used for the delivery of IT change in payments related systems. Identifying gaps & opportunities for process improvement to ensure that the testing of change in payments systems is robust and fit for purpose.

Business Area

The Business Application Payments Team is a specialized group within the Information Technology & Security Department responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and supporting the systems and infrastructure that enable secure and efficient financial transactions across SMBC in EMEA.

The team plays a critical role in ensuring that all day to day payment processing is executed reliably and in compliance with regulatory standards. Through the building, maintaining & managing of change for platforms & applications that support payment processing for the customers of SMBC.  This requires working closely with our internal stakeholders and external technology vendors to deliver business needs

Position Description

End-to-End Testing Analysis: Undertake a comprehensive end-to-end review of testing to ensure the quality and functionality of payment systems from inception to deployment.

Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyse, document IT & business testing requirements & process mapping for payment testing.

Process Analysis: Evaluate existing payment testing processes and tools to identify areas for improvement and optimization.

Test Planning: Work with the respective IT & Business testing teams to enhance existing or develop new detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts that cover all aspects of the payment system life-cycle. Also ensuring that business processes, requirements and test cases are fully traceable end-to-end

Data Analysis: Analyse data to support decision-making and identify trends, patterns, and insights related to payment transactions.

Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between business units, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure clear communication and alignment on project goals.

Documentation: Create detailed documentation, including process mapping, business requirements, functional specifications, and user guides.

Project Management: Assist in project planning, tracking, and reporting to ensure timely delivery of payment solutions.

Compliance: Ensure that payment solutions comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
