Role Summary
Is the next step in your career at SMBC Group EMEA? We’re looking for a PMO Analyst (Associate) to join the Transformation & Change Management Group team.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Supporting the Project Manager to help meet deadlines and manage the required documentation and core administration tasks involved in the project.
- Working with supervision across tasks and assignments that contribute to one or more large-scale, complex projects. May also be assigned initiatives where you need to work independently to perform analysis and complete assigned tasks.
- Administratively support the relevant project and facilitate communication across multi-disciplinary teams.
- Aid in project planning, analysis, evaluation, and minimizing project risk, and streamlining project processes.
- Support in PMO reporting forums and other ad-hoc tasks as defined by PMO management.
Business Area
This role sits within the Project Management team as part of the Transformation and Change Management Group (TCMG), which is the Bank's centralised function for managing and delivering change.
The Project Management team's vision is to be the trusted driver of strategic and regulatory change across EMEA by delivering real value to the Bank through project execution, governance, and continuous improvement. Empowering success through expert project management, a robust PMO Centre of Excellence, and independent quality assurance - ensuring every project meets the highest standards of delivery, impact and value.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for completing assigned tasks within the agreed timeframe
- Must self-manage day-to-day and all assigned tasks
- Providing ad hoc support to project manager
- Responsible for supporting project processes and governance
- Responsible for analysis required by the project and producing accurate documentation
Experience Requirements
- Ideally minimum of a year working in financial services or a year-long industrial placement during university
- Good interpersonal skills to work collaboratively as well as independently
- Must be detail orientated, organised, analytical and inquisitive
- Evidence of effective communication skills both written and verbal including presentations
- Excellent MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills essential
- Evidence of innovative thinking and able to work under supervision
- Practical and willing to take responsibility to ensure objectives are achieved
- Good time management – must be able to work to deadlines
