Role Summary
- Financial Controller
- Analyse SPD’s key performance figures such as Gross Profit and expenses against the department’s budget for the fiscal year
- Ensure timeliness and accuracy of data that are used for internal meetings (EMEA and Head Office), audits (both internal and external), regulatory reporting, and others
- As a manager of the Reporting / Strategy team, manage the subordinates in the team to maximise the performance of the team.
- JVCo Programme Credit Administration Manager (existing programme + any other new programme to be created)
- Work closely together with JV Programme’s middle office team, Leveraged Finance Origination team and another related parties to achieve smooth operation and further expansion of the existing / new JV programmes
- Working alongside Originations SPD members and BizOps, ensure pipelines are accurately captured and support the architecture design alongside building the control framework for timely updates
- Create semi-annual audited submission of SPE Survey
These responsibilities are part of Planning team and reports to the Head of Planning and SPD’s senior management. Financial Controller was established to work closely together with expatriate staffs at Planning in order to increase productivity, accuracy, efficiency, and speed with respect to the analyses and reporting of SPD’s key performance figures.
JVCo Programme Credit Administration Manager was established in response to the growth of the joint Uni-Tranche Programme with Park Square Capital (“JVCo Programme”) and a to strengthen credit administration team to set up management role who guide and monitor junior member of the team.

Position Description
- Financial Controller
- Pro-actively manage the data / portfolio analytics for SPD’s businesses (LBO, Real Estate Finance, Subscription Secured Finance, Securitisation businesses, Net Asset Value Finance and Sponsor Coverage)
- Analyse SPD’s key performance data such as Gross Profit, Credit Cost, and expenses and build forecasts based on Deal Pipeline and other variables
- Produce reports for periodic meetings including EMEA Meeting, EMEA Conference, Management Committee, Executive Committee, Strategy Meeting, and others.
- Produce data / reports for regulatory requests, internal audit, external audit, and others.
- Liaise and collaborate with other departments including CDED, PDED, OAD, RMD, and others.
- JVCo Programme Credit Administration Manager (existing programme + any other new programme to be created)
- Maintain (and continue to develop as appropriate) the booking spread sheets for the JV Programme in conjunction with a more junior member of the team, to enable the reconciliation of reports produced by external Service Providers, and for reporting to management of SPD and relevant H.O. departments.
- Coordinate with the LBO Origination, Portfolio Management and Securitisation teams within SPD in managing the JVs, including the preparation of periodic reviews and credit monitoring and assisting Front Office in execution of new transactions, including preparation of certain sections of credit submissions and the completion of funding documentation
- Preparation of various 'ad hoc' reports relating to the JV Programme.
- Assist with tasks relating to the creation of any new JV Programmes.
- Pipeline update
- Work closely with Originations to capture accurate pipelines.
- Build framework with Bizops in Deal Cloud to ensure architecture supports Originations to populate pipeline.
- Build controls with BiZops to ensure accuracy and timeliness of inputs.
- Create semi-annual audited submission of SPE Survey
- Semi-annual SPE Survey is regulatory submission.
- Ensure accurate capture of SPD’s SPE’s and accurate documentation of new SPE’s.
- Liaise with F&C to ensure data accuracy and any audit points are rectified.
