Role Summary
Is the next step in your career at SMBC Group EMEA? We’re looking for a Director or possibly VP for our Fixed Income Repo team!
We're looking for a senior salesperson to join our expanding Repo business. This is an exciting opportunity in a key growth area for SMBC.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Building out our client base, particularly with Hedge Funds and Asset Managers
- Developing the range of business that we do with these clients
- Work with the broader team to hit ambitious revenue targets
For you to succed in the role, you'll need to have:
- 5+ years of experience of Repo/Securities finance
- Established relationships with Hedge Funds, Asset Managers and Sec Lenders
- Strong product knowledge across Repo, SBL, Tri-Party etc
Business Area
This role sits within the broader Fixed income department at SMBC Bank International and reports into the Head of Solutions Sales. The Repo business has been established over the last 4 years with great success already, and this role is key to continuing the upward trajectory of that business.
Position Description
Our role will enable you to:
- Develop client relationships – strong requirement to onboard clients as part of the plan.
- Work with the Heads of Repo Sales and Trading to develop the strategy for the business
- Execute transactions across a range of product types
What will you bring to the role?
- Strong background in Repo sales within an established and developed platform.
- Ambition to help build a substantial Repo business within one of the world’s largest banks.
- Proven ability to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Capability to execute, book and process transactions.
