Role Summary
Is the next step in your career at SMBC Group EMEA? We’re looking for an Assistant Vice President for our Operations & Administration (OAD) Customer Services Department to join our team.
Working within the Customer Services team within the Operations Department to provide a first class level of customer service to both our corporate client base and our internal partners, resolving their queries and issues relating to payments as well as many other general day to day banking matters such as Cash Pooling.
We are looking for an experienced payment investigator who can bring their knowledge, skills and enthusiasm to the team in this ever evolving environment.

Position Description
The customer service team acts as a central point of contact for our corporate customers and our internal stakeholders including Front and Middle Office Teams as well as other back-office teams dealing with diverse range of enquiries on a daily basis.
Our role will enable you to:
- Cover all aspects of payment investigations including beneficiary claiming non receipt, unable to apply, Sanction and Fraud customer referrals and general account enquiries
- Review outstanding Nostro Breaks and determine next steps to ensure their timely clearance
- Execute and monitor daily Cash Pooling for our customers across EMEA
- Process retail banking products such as Cheque pay in, Standing Orders, Direct Debits, BACS processing
- Produce Audit Letters on behalf of our customers
- Manage tasks around RMA Administration
- Get involved in UAT Testing for new products, services and general IT builds
What will you bring to the role?
- A background in Commercial payments / payment investigations
- Be able to deliver excellent customer service through a variety of channels such as phone call and email
- A strong attention to detail
- An ability to work in a fast pace and demanding environment
