Role Summary

  • To assist in the ongoing identification, monitoring and control of Market risk in the Bank’s day-to-day business
  • To ensure all procedures are updated in a timely manner and help producing training material used by Senior Management
  • Support EMEA region in relation to Market risk reporting for both Banking and Trading areas
  • A reasonable understanding of Market Risk is required, with 1-2 years experience
  • VBA knowledge is preferred, but not not essential
  • Understanding of VaR and understanding potential losses
  • Support the production, analysis, and enhancement of Market Risk reporting.
  • Maintain and improve Market Risk systems, procedures, and controls.
  • Provide support to business, risk, finance, and regulatory stakeholders on Market Risk matters

 

Business Area

You will be working within Risk Management Dept (RMD) in the Market Risk area, working across EMEA juristictions to montitor, analysis and understand the Market Risk's and ensure first line remain within their remit and Risk appetite.

Focusing on Trading Instruments suh as FX, Options, Equity, Repo's and Derivatives. Along with Banking book instruments such as IRRBB, PL analisys

 

Position Description

  • Monitor Market Risk exposures and ensure adherence to approved limits.
  • Produce and review daily, weekly, and monthly Market Risk reports.
  • Escalate limit breaches and risk issues to the Head of Market Risk in a timely manner.
  • Support regulatory reporting, including IRRBB, VaR, P&L, FRTB and other market risk initiatives.
  • Maintain and update Market Risk procedures, documentation, and training materials.
  • Liaise with Treasury, Front Office, Finance, Compliance, IT, and Risk teams across EMEA.Support Market Risk projects, automation initiatives, system enhancements, and governance activities
  • Supporting the Market Risk framework, governance, and control environment
