Role Summary
- The Vice President in the Infrastructure and Real Assets Origination team (the “Team”) will be one of the main points of contact for a number of Relationship Managers from various Front office teams including Project/Infrastructure Finance, Real Estate Finance, Aviation and Shipping Finance. They will support in delivering CM products (across loans, bonds and private placements) with minimal day to day supervision.
- Coverage will mirror that of the immediate Team and will, therefore, be across multiple jurisdictions in EMEA.
The role is responsible for:

- Support pitching of the wider team with CFOs and Treasurers of a variety of public and private companies, project sponsors and potentially government officials
- From an internal perspective, leading and be responsible for the structuring process of specific deals throughout the project cycle in close co-operation with the front office department (client coverage and booking entity), as well as back-office departments, Credit Department, Planning Department, Loan Distribution, Loan Execution and Loan Agency.
- Maintaining a growing network of contacts at banks, institutional investors and DFIs to better understand market trends across all sectors and asset classes within scope.
Developing and supporting junior colleagues within the immediate Team and wider LCM department.
The role of loan origination is to originate, price, structure, underwrite, coordinate, bookrun and execute loans and other credit facilities for government bodies, sponsors (as the case may be), corporates and financial institutions across EMEA
- Main interfaces/relationships:
- Internal: Colleagues in Loan Origination, Distribution, Execution and Loan Agency, Legal, Risk Management, Nikko, Corporate Solutions Group and Credit Department as well as front offices.
- External: the Bank’s customers (Treasure & CFO level typically), competitors, debt investors (Banks, Institutional Investors and DFIs) lenders’ external advisors.
No direct budget target, but individual contribution to P&L of the immediate Team and wider LCM department required.

Position Description
Support senior team members in leading origination, strategic dialogue and long‑term relationship management across the infrastructure and real assets sectors. Drive the structuring, pricing and execution of complex financings, applying expert judgement on market conditions, liquidity, underwriting and transaction economics to deliver optimal outcomes.
Internally lead end‑to‑end syndication and co‑financing strategies, integrating seamlessly with internal deal teams while expanding and deepening relationships with investors, lenders and financing partners. Support marketing strategy and external positioning, ensuring high‑quality pitch materials and thought‑leadership content that strengthens brand presence and supports origination objectives.
Provide views on identifying refinancing opportunities, emerging client needs, market developments and new business opportunities. Direct market intelligence and data strategy, including the development of pricing, liquidity and lender databases, and ensure timely dissemination of insights to support structuring, pricing and decision‑making.
Maintain strong governance, risk and documentation standards, overseeing mandates, syndication‑related finance clauses, fee reporting and pipeline management in line with regulatory and internal requirements. Collaborate closely with Relationship Management, Origination and broader internal stakeholders to promote alignment, execution excellence and effective information flow.
Lead, coach and develop junior team members, building technical capability, execution depth and succession strength. Champion innovation, new product ideas and continuous process improvement, leading initiatives that enhance team performance, market relevance and long‑term growth.
Deep expertise in project finance and structured credit analysis, with extensive experience executing complex infrastructure and energy transactions within major banks or international financial institutions. Proven ability to originate, structure and deliver end‑to‑end financings, applying sound commercial, investment and risk judgement while upholding the highest professional and ethical standards. Ideally, strong understanding of global project finance markets, including syndication dynamics, investor behaviour and liquidity conditions.
Highly effective in stakeholder management, negotiation and representation of the bank in high‑stakes client and investor engagements. Demonstrated leadership capability, including coaching and developing junior talent, fostering collaborative high‑performance teams, and managing conflict and complexity in fast‑moving deal environments.
Excellent written and verbal communicator, able to clearly articulate complex financing structures to clients, senior management and cross‑functional stakeholders. Strong academic background with advanced fluency in financial modelling, market data tools and analytical methodologies relevant to origination and syndication; additional international language skills advantageous.
