Role Summary
We are seeking a skilled and proactive IntelliMatch Reconciliation Specialist to join our team, responsible for maintaining and enhancing reconciliation processes within the IntelliMatch (DIM) application hosted on the FIS platform. This role is pivotal in supporting SMBC’s control functions by ensuring data integrity across systems through robust reconciliation controls.
You will play a key role in configuring new reconciliations to support strategic project deliveries, collaborating closely with Back Office Support and business teams to deliver high-quality, accurate, and auditable solutions. Your expertise will help drive operational excellence and compliance across the organization.
Business Area
The candidate will work in the EMEA Application Management team which sits within the IT Securities Dept. (ITSD)
The role is a support focussed position, adhering to the ITIL Framework working within the wider EMEA Application Management team and has no direct reports for this role.
Position Description
Background
- The objective of the role will be to maintain and enhance as required the current reconciliations within the Intellimatch(DIM) application, on the FIS hosted environment.
- There will also be a requirement to configure new reconciliations that will be required to support new Project deliveries.
- Reconciliations perform a key part of the SMBC control function, ensuring that all systems have complete and accurate data. Maintaining the accuracy of these reconciliation control check is an essential element of the role.
- A close working engagement with the Back Office Support team as well as the business teams who use the reconciliations is essential in delivering the best quality controls.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering complete and accurate reconciliation controls using the Intellimatch (DIM) application.
- Ensuring that all users of the application are well trained in the use of the application.
- Managing all stages of the testing process working with project leads and business colleagues to deliver a robust solution.
- Managing the relationship with FIS hosting team.
- Ensuring that all:
- changes and reconciliation development align with both SMBC and FIS development standards
- changes are delivered to following the SMBC change control process, and presenting those changes to the CAB
- all development is thoroughly documented, and a support handover is completed.
Experience and skills
- IntelliMatch – The candidate is expected to know how to maintain and enhance reconciliations in the IntelliMatch application. Preferably having done this in the Next Gen version of the application.
- FIS Preprocessor – The candidate should have a working knowledge of the FIS preprocessor.
- MS SQL Server – The candidate should have strong SQL skills able to use triggers and procedures within complex reconciliation builds.
- ServiceNow is the ITSM tool of choice at SMBC. A working knowledge of this application and its uses is advantageous.
- Business analysis – gather and understanding requirements from business teams.
- Third party vendor liaison / management and internal Service provider liaison will be required.
- Jira backlog capture and management of the Sprint delivery will be required in conjunction with the Product Owner.
Experience
- 5+ years of intelliMatch Next Gen reconciliation development (E)
- SQL Experience (E)
- 5+ years of experience within an IT environment within a support team in financial services organisation (D)
- ITIL Service Management Incident & Change Management exposure (D)
- Experience of powershell or other similar tools (D)
Qualifications
- A Business or IT qualification desirable but not essential.
