Role Summary

As a Technical Delivery Manager within the ITSD Corporate applications team, you will be engaging with a variety of technical and business stakeholders, but key will be bridging the gap between business, operations and technology teams. 

Primarily, you will be working on SMBC EMEA’s maturing Third Party Management domain (composed of Procurement, Third Party & Supply Chain Risk and Procure-2-Pay).

This role will in the short-term be primarily focused on (but not limited to) enhancing and maintaining the Coupa Application, plus over time onboarding and integrating associated new applications.

Key to the role will be regular collaboration with the business (in particular OPPD-TPM leadership) to identify opportunities to enhance and build out the Corporate Platforms domain whilst working closely with technical teams and external vendors to translate business problems into technical solutions.

Business Area

This role sits within the Cross Products - Corporate Platforms team who are responsible for maintaining all Corporate Platform applications (excluding Finance, Risk & Compliance systems).

Position Description

This role will require you to use a variety of elicitation techniques to identify and map out business needs, plus articulate opportunities for which you will proactively suggest solutions that will deliver business benefit in both the short and longer-term.

Key to the role will be regular collaboration with the business to identify opportunities to enhance and build out the Corporate Platforms domain whilst working closely with technical teams and external vendors to translate business problems into technical solutions.

Other key responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitate the discussion between the business and the tech teams, in order to define clear requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Provide the necessary background to the requirements through thorough analysis.
  • Closely liaise with the Product / Important Business Service Owners to ensure priorities are reflected on the backlog, and that requirements are properly sized.
  • Confidently take ownership of achieving results on behalf of your, whilst working in dynamic environments with minimal supervision.

The role is primarily accountable for local maintenance, enhancement and expanding the scope of use of the Coupa Platform (plus it’s associated technology Eco-system), and will require you to:

  • Work closely with business clients, change management, and other members of the ITSD team.
  • Document business technical requirements, understand business objectives, build IT roadmaps and shape the technology agenda in these areas.
