Security – Technical Delivery Manager VP

We are seeking an experienced Technical Delivery Manager who will be responsible for all aspects of the Information Security technical delivery activities. 

This includes, but is not limited to, driving the end-to-end technical delivery of Information Security projects and budget, resource, schedule, risks and issues management.  The role involves defining deliver plans, ensuring consistent governance and reporting, , managing stakeholders, and providing clear, timely insight into technical delivery status, risks, issues and milestones and escalating to management as appropriate. 

Due to the nature of work, the role requires an ability to manage against tight time pressures on all domains of Information Security and  constant communication with external and intra-group outsourcing partners across different geographical locations, in particular SMBC New York, JRI America, and Tralee.

Business Area

Position Description

  • This is a key role to support the Security Change Programme Manager in the ITSD Security and Operations Team in all aspect of technical delivery management activities.
  • Must have effective and positive relationships with both business users across EMEA as well within IT globally in driving the Security Change Programme.
  • The role will lead the end-to-end delivery of medium to large-scale information security projects, ensuring CapEx investments are delivered to plan with clear alignment to approved budgets, timelines, and defined business outcomes.
  • Operating with minimal supervision, the Technical Delivery Manager holds primary ownership for executing delivery plans, proactively managing technical risks, issues, and dependencies to protect delivery milestones and investment value.
  • The role is responsible for robust financial and progress reporting
  • By understanding key information security and business drivers, the incumbent ensures quality of delivery, governance compliance, and successful realisation of delivery plans.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities

Education & Qualifications:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent working experience.
  • PMI, Prince2 or similar certification in project management or equivalent working experience

 

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Good knowledge and experience of Cyber Security principles.
  • Experience of delivering cyber security projects in a regulated corporate environment, preferably Financial Services.
  • Demonstrable expertise in a project management role.
  • Experience in working with a complex matrix of business SMEs & IT teams.
  • Good Knowledge of the MS-Office suite including MS Project experience.
  • Well organised and structured in work output.
  • Experience of working at a senior level in a customer facing role.
  • Strong track record of implementing tools or systems, ideally GRC platforms
  • Experience across Technology Risk, Cyber Security or Information Security
  • Exposure to TPRM and IAM initiatives
  • Strong understanding of risk and control frameworks
  • Experience of CyberArk and Blue Voyant advantageous
  • Basic level understanding of Payments and Compliance business areas.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to convey complex security concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
