Role Summary
We are seeking a Financial Crime Transaction Monitoring Platform IT Owner (VP) to own the end-to-end delivery lifecycle of the platform within the Cross Product Platform team.
You will own the design, development, architectural evolution and delivery of the Financial Crime Transaction Monitoring Platform across EMEA.
This is a unique opportunity to lead the strategy, service ownership and operational excellence of financial crime transaction monitoring system, driving transformation, enabling regulatory compliance and enhancing data-driven decision-making across financial crime initiatives.
The role requires strong technical expertise, leadership and service ownership to mature this capability for the region, ensuring platform stability, continuous improvement and standardisation to enhance data quality, controls and alignment with global best practices. The role also encompasses system development, major enhancements, and strategic upgrades.
Your responsibilioties will include:
- Product Ownership of the Financial Crime Transaction Monitoring Platform across EMEA
- Leading developers and collaborating across the organisation to deliver, enhance and maintain the transaction monitoring platform
- Leading strategy, roadmap planning, and architectural direction for the Financial Crime Transaction Monitoring Platform
For you to succeed in the role, you will need to have:
- Hands‑on technical experience developing and supporting Transaction Monitoring systems (NICE Actimize SAM an advantage) and associated technical environments
- Experience leading development teams to deliver continuous improvements, remediation actions, and control uplifts
- Solid experience in understanding ETL, data extraction and analysis

Position Description
Key Responsibilities
- Owning the Financial Crime Transaction Monitoring Platform across EMEA, including the end‑to‑end delivery lifecycle covering solution design, development oversight and system testing
- Leading strategy, roadmap planning, and architectural direction for the Financial Crime Transaction Monitoring Platform, ensuring decisions are delivered through funded system build and upgrades
- Driving delivery of material enhancements, new reconciliations, system upgrades, and integration initiatives, including requirements definition, solution design, development, system testing, UAT and production deployment
- Establishing standardised operating models, governance controls, and quality frameworks across the platform
- Partnering with global technology and product teams to deliver funded change initiatives, align architectures, and scale capitalised solutions across regions
- Managing vendor relationships
- Collaborating with stakeholders across Compliance, Operations, global stakeholders and Technology to understand requirements, prioritise needs, and optimise financial crime Transaction Monitoring platform
- Represent IT FinCrime in governance forums and regulatory discussions
- Monitoring platform performance, risk, compliance, and audit findings, and leading the implementation of continuous improvements, remediation actions, and control uplifts
- Lead root cause analysis of system and data issues, implementing permanent, scalable solutions that improve platform stability and detection effectiveness
- Mentor junior team members and promote a culture of continuous learning
- Share knowledge and contribute to best practices within the IT FinCrime function
Required experience
- Hands‑on technical experience developing and supporting reputable Transaction Monitoring systems, NICE Actimize (SAM – Suspicious Activity Monitoring); Transaction Monitoring systems & Data warehouse environments
- Deep understanding of Data warehouse environments
- Must demonstrate solid experience in understanding ETL, data extraction and analysis using SQL
- Must demonstrate solid experience in scripting and running of Linux operating system (OS)
- Experience operating as a Financial Crime, Compliance, or related domains technology product owner or change lead, accountable for delivery, funded roadmaps and long‑term technology assets
- Extensive experience in IT within financial services
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- Professional certifications (preferred but not mandatory):
- Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS)
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
