Position Description

Role Overview:

We're looking for someone to lead and act as effective business partner for our Operational Risk Management Group; supporting the business and senior management in understanding and managing non-financial/operational risks and working within all our organisational pillars to analyse, partner and consult with the business based on our risk profile. This includes developing and enhancing the operational risk management framework, chairing key committees, and liaising with senior management, boards, auditors, and regulators.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of a fit-for-purpose operational risk management framework.
  • Chair the Operational Risk and Resilience Committee and the New Products and Services Committee.
  • Provide proactive support and subject matter expertise to the business.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain positive relationships with regulators.
  • Drive consistent standards and frameworks across the EMEA region.
  • Act as an influencer and subject matter expert to enhance non-financial risk management globally.

 

Essential Experience and Skills:

  • Leadership in non-financial/operational risk management across corporate and investment banking.
  • Senior experience within a 2LOD non-financial risk function.
  • Expertise in regulatory compliance management with PRA and/or continental European regulators.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to lead and develop working relationships at senior levels.
  • Deep knowledge of UK and ECB standards on non-financial risk management.

 

Education & Qualifications:

  • Degree level education or equivalent.
  • Professional qualification desirable.
