Role Summary

We are looking for an AVP to join the Transaction Team within the Customer Sales Group of the Financial Markets Department. The role involves executing customer FX and money market transactions, as well as identifying opportunities to grow FX and deposit business based on customer activity and needs. The successful candidate will work closely with clients and colleagues across the buisness, building strong relationships to ensure the smooth execution of trades and effective day‑to‑day operations. We're looking for someone with hands on experiance in FX and money market transactions, strong communication skills and a solid understanding of FX products, deposits, and regulatory requirements.

The role sits within Financial Markets Department – Customer Sales (Treasury Transactions Team) - London

Position Description

•    To execute customer FX and money market transactions. 
•    To deliver relevant market information to Relationship managers. 
•    To develop and maintain mutually rewarding relationships with each customer and relationship managers.
•    To analyse customers' business flow and transaction data in order to seek potential FX business.
•    To promote Deposit.
•    To communicate with both Trading and Banking dealers in a clear and confident manner to ensure that orders are executed in accordance with customers' instruction.
•    To cooperate with colleagues in the Group. 
•    To cooperate with other teams in the event of staff shortage or other period to ensure smooth and sound operation of the Group as whole.
•    To share business information with other group and teams in Financial Markets Department.
•    To support and cooperate with continental branches from Departmental perspective.
•    To participate in a meeting held in Marketing Departments and discuss topic of business promotion related to treasury.
•    To support Group Head and Team Leader in various aspects to enhance the qualitative scale of the Group.
•    To report the activities to his/her immediate Manager / Senior Managers.
•    To manage internal reports.
•    To understand the direction of the Group from the viewpoint of target achievement.
•    To identify the training and development needs relevant to the performance of their role and ensure they are adequately skilled to undertake the business requirements of the Bank.
•    To check the process for on-boarding to meet the requirement and GM to GM memo are appropriately created in starting Deposit / FX business. 
•    To comply with rules and regulations established by the relevant authorities and be mindful to the future relevance.
•    To comply with all rules, policies, guidelines, operations, and procedures established in the bank.
•    Conduct any activities, including but not limited to, handling and/or cooperating internal and/or external inspections and/or audits to enhance the 1st line of defence. (to do any activities to improve the 1st line of defence e.g. self-selection)
•    To engage in the activities stipulated in the Service Level Agreements as per the discretion of the line manager. (to cover any activities set out in the SLAs)

 

Key Skills

  • Knowledge of FX (Spot, Forward, Swap) and Money Market products.
  • Strong attention to detail in trade execution and transaction processing.
  • Clear and professional communicator, ability to communicate in Japanese.
  • Dependable and reliable team player.

 

Relevant Experience

  • Regular client contact, pricing, execution, and promotion of FX and money market transactions.
  • Liaised regularly with Trading and Banking teams, to confirm pricing and execution details.
  • Worked closely with Relationship Managers, providing market rates, basic market updates, and transaction support.
  • Assisted with internal reporting and day to day operational tasks.
