Role Summary
Is the next step in your career at SMBC Group EMEA? We’re looking for an Associate analyst developer to join our S&T Front Ofice Platform Integration team.
The suitable candidate will build and deliver solutions for ITSD OPPD to facilitate trading activities, trade reporting and risk management using well known technologies such as .Net, SQL Server, IBM MQ, FIX and XML working in an agile environment in collaboration with other teams.

Front Office Platform Integration - ITSD OPPD
The IT department at SMBC Capital Markets (CM) has grown significantly over the last 5 years to meet the needs of the growing business. SMBC has an internally build bespoke middle office system to facilitate trading activities. A role has risen in the team to work on the ever-expanding project portfolio and support S&T Platform Integration which is an effort to segregate the middleware functionality between front, mid and back offices. We are looking for a keen self starter looking to advance his/her career in the financial sector. This will be a good opportunity to make the entry into the world of finance.
Position Description
Responsibilities:
- Implement and delivery S&T platform integration functionalities to business requirements
- Effectively communicate with stake holders to understand requirements to meet their expectations
- Maintain and support the S&T platform integration functions
Essential skills and experience required:
- Experience in C#/.Net programming
- Experience with relational databases and SQL
- Ability to analyse information, understand business needs & requirements and derive the best possible systems solution
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively to people with varying levels of technical knowledge
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking and problem solving skills
- Good work ethic, with a focus on meeting deadlines and objectives
