Role Summary
Is the next step in your career at JRI Europe, a Group company of SMBC? We’re looking for a FX/Money Market Application Specialist for our Money Market System Support to join our team.
This role supports, maintains, and enhances key FX and Money Market applications, ensuring they operate reliably and remain aligned with evolving business needs. The position works closely with stakeholders across EMEA, Tokyo, and the Americas to deliver technical solutions, manage issues, and drive continuous improvement.
Essentials of the Role
- Provide technical and functional support for FX and Money Market applications, ensuring system availability and incident coordination.
- Collaborate with global stakeholders to translate business requirements into application enhancements and maintain strategic system roadmaps.
- Lead communication and issue management during system incidents, ensuring risks are assessed and actions are clearly communicated.
Candidate Requirements
- Strong technical background with knowledge of UNIX and Oracle DB, plus experience in application support roles.
- Excellent communication, analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a multicultural environment.
- Japanese language skills (written and spoken) — desirable but highly valued for collaboration with Tokyo teams.
