Role Summary

  • Provide day-to-day operational support to the sales team, ensuring smooth execution of sales activities.
  • Prepare, review and manage sales-related documentation including contracts, proposals, quotations and internal materials.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to support sales processes, client onboarding and transaction execution.
  • Maintain and update sales records, client information and transaction data in internal systems.
  • Support sales reporting, including preparation of sales figures, pipeline reports and management materials.
  • Assist with scheduling and coordination of sales meetings, client calls and presentations.
  • Liaise with clients as required for administrative matters, documentation follow-ups and logistical coordination.

Business Area

Based in London, this position is responsible for conducting daily sales support/administrative operation related to branch activities. To perform this role effectively, collaboration with relevant departments at SMBC Group, SMFL HQ and its group companies.

Additionally, you will be tasked with providing various support services for SMFL subsidiaries (both consolidated/equity method) and SMFL group companies in Europe.

Position Description

Assist with general office management duties, including facilities and insurance arrangements in cooperation with relevant SMBC BI departments. Responsible for travel booking and itinerary management, as well as organising meetings by preparing agendas, supporting documentation, scheduling, and arranging conference calls and meeting room bookings. Ensure all video and audio conference meetings are set up in advance, liaising with IT for any technical issues. Manage London Branch IT, communication, and other office supplies in coordination with relevant SMBC BI departments, while maintaining records and files of all meetings (including minutes in English), transactions, and travel as required. Provide support for visitors from Japan, Ireland, or elsewhere, including translation, arranging local meetings, and organising business lunches, dinners, and transportation. Additionally, play an active role in organising internal events and off-site activities.
