Role Summary
Is the next step in your career at SMBC Group EMEA? We’re looking for an Exec Director, Infrastructure Capital Markets for our LCM Dept to join our team.
In this role you will:
- Need to be the lead on structuring, pitching and underwriting Infra transactions. You will also have some line manager duties for certain team members within this distinct team.
- Opine on liquidity and pricing parameters.
- Prepare pricing comments.
- Prepare applications for underwriting approval.
- Engage with CD at early stage of prospective transactions.
- Manage documentation and execution process in Coordinator roles in cooperation with external parties including client, other banks, and external advisors
For you to succeed in the role, you’ll need to have:
- Experience in syndicating Infra Loans,
- Demonstration of leading a process and driving the results,
- Line manager experience also desirable.
Business Area
- Loan capital markets is crucial to the overall strategy of the Bank as it’s the dept that is responsible for distributing loan market risk, this is important as it drives profitability and ROE.
- The types of stakeholders will be colleagues within LCM, DCM, Front offices and clients.
Position Description
- To carry out marketing activities available to the Loan Capital Markets Group.
- Dealing with customers for origination / syndication / underwriting transactions for regulated products.
- Achieving a pre-allocated financial budget objective.
- Other responsibilities related to marketing activities.
- To comply with all regulatory and internal policies and procedures, regulations and guidelines.
- Supporting other team members in the successful origination, distribution and execution of loan facilities primarily in Project Finance, Aviation and Maritime Finance, including:
- Assist in the preparation of client proposals, in close collaboration with more senior syndicators
- In conjunction with Distribution, launch syndications/book-building, prepare and disseminate invitation letters and information materials, update status reports
- Prepare/assist in the preparation of pricing comments and underwriting applications.
