Role Summary
-Responsibility for timely, accurate & aligned regulatory reporting of SMBC DUS Branch, SMBC EU & SMBC EU Group including all statistical and prudential reporting (CoRep, FinRep, BISTA, AWV and related) and oversight of regulatory reporting done for branches of SMBC EU and its subsidiary
-Oversight of Resolution Reporting of SMBC EU and SMBC EU Group, reporting to deposit protection funds and related authorities, disclosure report as of Pillar 3, ESG regulatory reporting and disclosure, numerous ad-hoc and regular reporting as defined on a case-by-case basis including reporting related to fees and contribution and notifications as applicable
-Responsibility to provide oversight on general compliance to regulatory reporting requirements
-Definition of appropriate Framework to ensure a timely, correct and complete reporting to the authorities, including definition of policies, procedures, reporting schedules & internal control mechanisms
-Ensure resilience of the team also under difficult circumstances i.e. backup solution for regulatory reporting
-Ensure adequate training programme for (new) colleagues & temps
-Oversight on review of regulatory changes & regulatory landscape analysis (Radar function), regular Information to the head of F&C and to the executive board
-Support coordination on all projects related to regulatory reporting as applicable
-Key contact person for external, internal auditors and other departments on regulatory reporting topics
-Key contact for regulatory reporting colleagues in other group entities
-Additional contact for regulators and other regulatory authorities on regulatory reporting
-Key contact for BAIS vendor msg (contract, training)
-Implement and maintain the regulatory framework for SMBC Bank EU AG
-Ensuring surveillance of regulatory limitations in collaboration with other departments
-Drive continuous development of EU to improve regulatory reporting processes & reporting quality
-Coordinate with other SMBC Entities

Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualifications
-Experience in team management
-Extensive management skills & experience in coordination of tasks
-Extensive experience in a regulatory reporting role within a financial institutions or consultancy firm
-Educated to master’s level; any professional qualification is considered as a plus
-Be able to understand complex concepts, challenge them and provide explanations in a clear and precise way
-Internal and external stakeholder management skills
-Experienced manager of people, budgets, process design and control frameworks
-Strong presentational skills and ability to speak to a C-Level / senior management audience
-Ability to drive improvements and structured oversight on developments necessary - also in headwind situations
-Conflict management and negotiation skills
-Strong analytical, numerical and IT skills
-Be able to work independently
