We’re looking for a Vice President (m/f/d) for our Operational Risk and Resilience Department to join our team.

 

The purpose of the job is to support the Second Line of Defence (2LoD) in providing independent oversight, review and challenge pertaining to processes, activities, metrics, and frameworks related to Operational Resilience including ICT Risk and Third Party Risk Management.

 

The role will support assessing regulatory requirements and interpreting their implications for policies and frameworks, developing and implementing 2LoD frameworks to manage the risks related to the above domains, providing review and challenge of Business activities, and monitoring and reporting of risk exposures and control effectiveness.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities

 

The job holder’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

  • Supporting the team in designing, developing, implementing and maintaining the second line Operational Resilience, ICT Risk and Third-Party Risk Management frameworks in line with regulatory requirements and best practices
  • Review and challenge the Operational Resilience, ICT Risk and Third-Party Risk Management Framework owned by the first line of defence
  • Assess the design and operating effectiveness of Operational Resilience, ICT Risk and Third-Party Risk control measures
  • Advise on risk appetite and measures specific to Operational Resilience, ICT Risk and Third-Party Risk in line with the organizations risk appetite framework
  • Support in the second line review of the planning, execution, results and reports of Digital Operational Resilience Testing including threat-led penetration testing (TLPT)
  • Monitor compliance with internal (Policies, Standards) and external (Regulations) requirements
  • Support in preparing management information reports/presentations to ensure that management have the relevant information needed to support operational and strategic decision-making

 

Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualifications

 

Required knowledge and skills:

 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Basic understanding of risk management principles and control frameworks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with GRC tools is a plus
  • Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail and a proactive mindset
  • Basic understanding of how (banking) regulations need to be translated into internal requirements in policies and standards, and implemented via processes and governance
  • Understanding of Operational Resilience, Third Party Risk and IT Risk concepts
  • Familiarity of the relevant Regulatory environment, e.g., DORA, MaRisk, EBA Guidelines on Outsourcing, as well as market and regulatory standards for IT Risk and Operational Resilience
  • Ability to communicate with senior stakeholders

 

 

Experience and Qualifications:

 

  • Prior experience in risk management, operational resilience, outsourcing, or IT risk within financial services
  • Some experience in preparing Regulatory and/or Management reporting
  • Exposure to Risk management or Second Line of Defence roles and responsibilities (could be as part of a 1LoD role)
  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred)
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CRISC) are a plus
