Role Summary
Is the next step in your career at SMBC Group EMEA? We’re looking for a Vice President for our Business Promotion Department / Global Trade Finance Depratment.
Originate, structure, and execute Trade Finance transactions within GTFD, with full accountability for driving marketing activities, business development, and revenue generation.
Act as a key contributor to the EU GTFD Front Office strategy, driving the growth and diversification of Trade Finance revenues across EMEA through active pipeline management, client engagement, and identification of new business opportunities.
The anticipated salary range for this role is EUR 80,000 - EUR 120,000 , with the final offer determined based on the candidate’s skills, experience, role scope, location, and relevant market factors. In addition to base salary, the role may be eligible for a discretionary incentive award and a competitive benefits package, including core benefits such as pension provision.
Business Area
The role sits within the GTFD team in Frankfurt and reports to the Team Head, operating as part of the GTFD EMEA Front Office platform.
The position operates with a high degree of autonomy and commercial ownership, working closely with management, with responsibility for originating, structuring, and executing transactions, including full ownership of selected deals and key components of more complex transactions originated both independently and by other senior team members.
Position Description

Originate, market, structure, and execute GTFD transactions for an assigned clients, including organizing client meetings, calls, and presentations.

Promote Transaction Banking as well risk distribution and mitigation solutions.

Take ownership of transaction execution across the full lifecycle, ensuring alignment with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Solid experience in Trade Finance with a proven track record.
