Position Description

  • Conducting a review of credit applications to determine, based on the agreed sampling methodology, which application will require a Full File Review.
  • Conducting a Full File Review of assigned credit applications to ensure accuracy of the Obligor and Facility Grades as well as Borrower’s Category (if applicable).
  • Discussing issues found and raise questions with FO person in charge when clarifications are required to complete the credit reviews.
  • Discussing and agreeing with the CRP Findings and Recommendations that need to be raised.
  • Submit reviews to the CRP for approval including draft Recommendations and Other Findings. 
  • Undertaking the follow-up and closure of any Recommendations raised.
  • Completing any other ad-hoc tasks assigned by CRP including SA Classification Review or DCF Review.
  • Deputising for CRP in attending Special Credits Review (SCR) meetings as observer
  • Supporting CRP in managing the relationship with key stakeholders in FO/CD/Risk Management (RMD) through periodic meetings and other channels.
  • Cross-training / guiding staff across the different products / areas of expertise.
  • Responsible for updating of internal procedures / manuals.
  • Leading Branch Credit Review process and ADCR’s participation in IAD/ADIA on-site as SME for Credit. 
  • Analysing and interpreting overall ADCR review results which are presented by HoA / ADCR management to the various Committees.
  • Keeping up to date with industry and EU regulatory changes in relation to Credit Risk. 

 

Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Significant credit experience in major EU or international Banks is essential to demonstrate a track record in effective credit analysis / management.  
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for efficiently completing reviews, preparing reports, documenting findings, and liaising with key stakeholders and IAD/ADCR/ADIA management.
  • Significant understanding of the credit risk environment relevant to the business being reviewed including management of problem assets / restructuring of corporate credits and more complex financing such as Project Finance, Shipping or Aircraft Finance. 
  • Attention to detail is required to efficiently review / document work and to be able to interpret and document findings including identifying trends.
  • Detailed knowledge of credit related EU regulatory requirements is desirable.
