We're looking for an Operational Risk Manager (m/w/d) to join our Risk Management Department.
You will support the implementation and oversight of the Bank's Operational Risk Management Framework, providing independent challenge and insight across operational risk activities and control environments.
Essentials of the Role
- Support and enhance the Operational Risk Management Framework, including RCSA, KRIs, scenario analysis and risk appetite monitoring.
- Provide independent challenge and oversight of operational risk exposures, controls, issues and remediation actions.
- Prepare risk reporting and engage with senior management, governance committees and regulatory stakeholders.

Position Description
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Support the development, implementation and ongoing enhancement of the Bank’s Operational Risk Management Framework, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, Group standards and industry best practice.
- Provide independent 2nd Line oversight and challenge of risk assessments, control environments, issue remediation plans and risk acceptances across business and support functions.
- Review and challenge operational risk events, incidents and scenario analyses, ensuring robust root cause identification, remediation and lessons learned.
- Monitor and assess operational risk indicators, risk appetite metrics and emerging risk trends, contributing to effective risk reporting and governance.
- Prepare high-quality reporting and analysis for senior management, risk committees and regulatory processes, including ICAAP and other prudential requirements.
- Act as a trusted Operational Risk partner to stakeholders, providing guidance, constructive challenge and representation at relevant forums, committees and regulatory engagements.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Proven experience in Operational Risk, Non-Financial Risk, Internal Controls, Audit, Risk Management or a related function within a regulated financial services environment.
- Strong understanding of Operational Risk Frameworks, including RCSA, operational risk events, issue management, KRIs, risk appetite, scenario analysis and governance reporting.
- Practical knowledge of corporate and/or investment banking products, processes and control environments, with the ability to provide effective 2nd Line challenge and oversight.
- Ability to analyse risks, control weaknesses and remediation activities, identify emerging risk themes and provide clear, evidence-based recommendations.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organisation.
- Degree-level education or equivalent experience; relevant professional qualifications in Risk, Audit, Banking or related disciplines are advantageous. Fluent English required; German language skills are beneficial.
