Position Description

The “Finance Change Director” is a business and data analyst and combines the following accountabilities & responsibilities:

• Responsible for regulatory and legal driven projects
• Supporting the Head of Finance Change EU with the overall finance solution design and the stability and efficiency maintenance of the Finance IT and Data infrastructure
• Outstanding Leader of a small team of internal and external people
• Being an active manager of the yearly finance book of work
• Implementation of finance changes and running initiatives and projects on business side
• Solution designer for changes covering the legal/regulatory requirements, the current and future finance data landscape / data flows and the current and future Finance IT-System Architecture adequate for an ECB regulated bank
• Supporting the work on Business Requirements Concept for Finance
• Supporting Data Analyst and Developer during the development process
• Supporting Finance Software Selection processes
• Contact person for external, internal auditors and other departments
• Responsible for all regulatory changes of SMBC BANK EU and supporting conception work and the implementation of new or changing reporting processes using BAIS as software and description of the relevant data requirements
• Responsible for all relevant regulatory systems (BAIS, SUADE, FIS BSM) in the role as Business System Owner and the first contact of the software providers,
• Responsible for a correct and adequate implementation of finance requirements on a modern data warehouse infrastructure including the current redesign of the existing data warehouse in line with BIRD and IREF,
• Responsible for the increase of automation of all finance processes and be the Lead of the Finance Efficiency Factory enabling Finance expert to automate their processes based on Power BI and Power Automate,
• Supporting the continuous optimization of the regulatory reporting environment based on the software BAIS and in long run ELIDA to build a one stop shop for Regulatory Reporting and
• Responsible for the finance data governance in the role of the BCBS239 data steward for finance.

The “Finance Change Director” combines the following skills:

• Leadership skills
• Solution Design Skills
• Data Analytic Skills
• Previous related experience in business or IT advisory in a consultant company or an internal department
• Be able to understand complex concepts
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex results to non-technical stakeholders
• Affinity for numbers, accuracy and attention to detail
• Structured, proactive and solution oriented way of working
• Strong team player with a high degree of self-motivation and independence
• Ability to perform under pressure and adapt dynamic, regulated environments
• Very experienced Regulatory Reporting Knowledge with CoRep, FinRep and national Statistics
• Very experienced with challenges of ECB (STE, adhoc data queries) 
• Reporting System Knowledge (BAIS) with more than 8 years experiences
• Data Management and Modelling Skills (ELIDA, BIRD) with more than 8 years experiences
• Finance Data Automation Skills combined with more than 8 years experiences in several challenges to change existing processes including change moderation
