Position Description

The Finance Change Data & Efficiency expert is a business and data analyst and combines the following GENERAL accountabilities & responsibilities:

• Supporting regulatory and legal driven projects in collaboration with team members of regulatory reporting, financial accounting, controlling and tax,
• Being a link and translator of requirements between the business subject experts of Finance and the data management team
• Supporting the finance team with self-service digitalization of their processes
• Supporting the Ramp Up process of new initiatives and projects including the standard administration processes of SMBC BANK EU.
• Supporting the work on Business Requirements Concept for Finance.
• Supporting Data Analysts and Developers during the development process.
• Supporting Finance Software Selection processes.
• Contact person for external, internal auditors and other departments

Additionally, the role Finance Change Manager “Data & Efficiency” (AVP) has to show the following SPECIF Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

• Supporting a correct and adequate implementation of finance requirements on a modern data warehouse infrastructure including the current redesign of the existing data ware house in line with BIRD and IREF,
• Supporting the increase of automation of all finance processes and be the Head of the Finance Efficiency Factory enabling Finance expert to automate their processes based on Power BI and Power Automate,
• Supporting the continuous optimization of the regulatory reporting environment based on the software BAIS and in long run ELIDA to build a one stop shop for Regulatory Reporting and
• Supporting the finance data governance in the role of the BCBS239 data steward for finance.

A “Finance Change Manager” is a business and data analyst and combines the following GENERAL skills:

• Solution Design Skills,
• Data Analytic Skills
• Previous related experience in business or IT advisory in a consultant company or an internal department,
• Be able to understand complex concepts,
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex results to non-technical stakeholders,
• Affinity for numbers, accuracy and attention to detail,
• Structured, proactive and solution oriented way of working,
• Strong team player with a high degree of self-motivation and independence,
• Ability to perform under pressure and adapt dynamic, regulated environments.

Additionally, the role Finance Change Manager “Data & Efficiency” (AVP) has to show the following SPECIF skills:

• Beneficial is experiences in Regulatory Reporting with CoRep and FinRep especially on the data requirements,
• Beneficial is experiences in Accounting with German GAAP and IFRS especially on the data requirements,
• Beneficial is experiences with credit and trading products and their data flows,
• Good skills to translate complex data aspects into simplified recommendations,
• Good experiences with Power BI and Power Automate,
• Beneficial is General Knowledge on data governance frameworks like BSBS239,
• Experiences with the creation of dash boards and automated analytical reports,
• Beneficial experienced with data analysis tools and data flow analytics,
• Beneficial  good knowledge of SQL to prepare data queries,
• Beneficial knowledge of coding languages for data analysis (like Python or R),
• Very good MS Excel and MS Access skills (Pivot, VBA),
• Beneficial knowledge of data base / data warehouse infrastructures and knowledge of cloud environments and
