Role Summary
• Solid knowledge and expertise in data quality management
• Support the implementation of the data governance strategy and policy by taking forward the development, testing, stakeholder approval and deployment of Business Rules defined for the Key Data Elements
• Drives the Data Quality Control and Monitoring discussions to document the current and target states, gaps in Controls (Business, Preventative and Detective), identifies blockers, agrees plan to resolve, performs the required remediation activities, tracks to completion
• Implement Data Quality Monitoring checks using the business approved tools
• Work with Local Data Officer and Data Steward teams across the Division on the development and implementation of data quality and controls monitoring.
• Participates in the various data governance and program forums when necessary
• Collaborates with business, compliance, technology, and other groups to ensure that data related business rule requirements are clearly defined and communicated as part of initiative prioritisation and planning
• Support the capture, investigation and tracking of Data Quality Issues, development of remediation plans and recommendations to fix at source
• Ability to establish consistent contact with all teams to provide updates, stay on track and report risks and issues timely with proven ability to quickly earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders

The Skills which have to be acquired are listed below. These are also preconditions for a potential promotion to the next grade.
Essential:
• Understanding of the practices and experience in working with data as part of Data Quality & Control Monitoring within Data Governance.
• Working knowledge and understanding of data governance, data quality, metadata, monitoring/ profiling, analysis, and data management tools including an understanding of Physical, Logical, and Business data Models
• Must proactively monitor, measure, analyse, execute, track and report data quality issues by interacting with the business users to resolve DQ problems using techniques such as root cause analysis as well as collecting user requirements.
• Proficient in using Data Quality Monitoring and Exceptions Management Tools
• Proficient in Alteryx and or Tableau and Dashboarding using Power BI
• Proficient in Problem, Incident/Issue/Exceptions and Change Management including raising tickets in Service Now, Jira and/or Azure DevOps
• Proficient in MS Office Suite especially Microsoft Excel (including Pivots), Visual Basic, Visio, and PowerPoint
• Experience of using a Data Quality profiling tool (such as Collibra Owl DQ/ Datactics/ informatica or any others)
• Proven ability to be a team player, while retaining the ability to work independently with little supervision and see challenges through to resolution
• Analytically minded with experience in problem solving, being able to communicate, implement and deliver solutions while thinking in an enterprise-wide manner, rather than a siloed or business unit focused fashion
Desirable:
• Working knowledge of Collibra
• Knowledge of data related regulatory requirements
• Experience working in regulated frameworks, ideally financial services
• Knowledge of emerging trends and issues within the Data Quality and Monitoring landscape
