Position Description

Accountabilities & Responsibilities

•    Act as “point of contact” and business partner for the Lending businesses in Bank EU AG (incl all branches) for all financial matters
•    Ensure complete, timely and accurate financial performance reporting to all stakeholders, this shall include performance according to GGAAP and IFRS financial reporting, management accounting (ALCO), information on standard internal & external key performance indicators (“KPIs”), comparison against peers and against budgets and forecasts
•    Develop contribution margin/profitability reporting to monitor branch, product, client, coverage team and department performance aligning the methodologies with the relevant teams (TD, BPD, STPD, RMD) based on the development of a fund transfer pricing methodology in line with regulatory requirements 
•    Prepare annual multiyear plan, the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly financial forecasts
•    Responsible for preparation of monthly Management information reports
•    Contact person for the different departments for all questions arising from the above-mentioned activities
•    Propose and implement controls to enhance completeness and accuracy of forecast and financial reports
•    Develop processes to substantiate specific balance sheet accounts
•    Support the Accounting team in term end tasks
•    Support the Head of Management Reporting & Product Control and the Head of Finance, with professional and legal changes, preparation of decision documents
•    Drive the automation of processes
•    Any other tasks assigned by the Head of Management Reporting & Product Control or Head of Finance

Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualifications

•    Several years’ experience in a controlling / finance role within a financial institution
•    Educated to Bachelors / masters level; any professional qualification is considered as a plus
•    Be able to understand complex concepts, challenge them and provide explanations in a clear and precise way
•    Strong analytical, numerical and IT skills
•    Proven track record in building relationships (both internal and external) as well as demonstrating and promoting team spirit
•    Be able to work independently
•    Demonstration of SMBC values 
•    Language skills: English business fluent
