Role Summary
Is the next step in your career at SMBC Group EMEA?
We’re looking for a Project Management Specialist (m/f/d) for our Strategic Planning Department to join our team for at least one year.
SPG within STPD shall manage and process various strategic planning and relevant controls/coordinations for SMBC EU, and also prepare and report various MIs for both SMBC EU internally and the Bank group, including the following documents and MIs.
- Corporate Strategies and according business plans
- Financials and Accounts Consolidation Packages
- Control of Internal Exposure and Collaterals
Business Area
Strategic Planning Group is in charge of the Bank’s core strategy based on various internal targets and external requirements. STPD aims to support all departments, groups and branches of SMBC EU.
Position Description
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
Major parts of the work are identified as follows:
- Liaise relevant departments within the Bank group for IT, operational for strategic perspective.
- Coordinate SMBC EU internally and externally for making alignment with the Bank group wide strategy.
- Coordinate SMBC EU internally and make alignment with the Bank group wide strategy.
- Plan SMBC EU operations for its business as usual, and support optimization through processing various re-organisations.
- Develop, execute and follow up business plan together with SMBC BI and group entities.
- Provide various supports to all departments, groups and branches in SMBC EU for their operation.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Several years’ experience in a controlling / finance role within a financial institution, ideally in an investment bank
- Educated to Bachelors / Masters level; any professional qualification is considered as a plus
- Be able to understand complex concepts, challenge them and provide explanations in a clear and precise way
- Strong analytical, numerical and Data management/ IT skills
- Strong understanding of financial products, especially Banking Book and lending business
- Proven track record in building relationships (both internal and external) as well as demonstrating and promoting team spirit
- Be able to work independently
- Demonstration of SMBC valuess
- Language skills: Business fluent English
