Role Summary
CRES Mission Statement: To drive the transformation of the Corporate Real Estate Services (CRES) organisation to a market leading delivery model, aligned to the Bank’s corporate objectives across the EMEA region. Operating with both integrity and innovation, CRES will deliver best in class, customer focused workplace solutions to maximise efficiency and productivity whilst promoting professionalism and safety.
This role is responsible for the strategic and operational ownership of CRES Workplace Services across EMEA locations
Business Area
Workplace Services are responsible for the built environment and the client journey; fundamentally to provide a safe and efficient working environment to support SMBC’s core business activities. Workplace Services encompasses multi-disciplinary activities and the management of their impact upon people and the workplace. Remit includes direct or indirect responsibility for Soft Services; cleaning, reception, food services, hospitality, mail room, switchboard, customer services, space management, landlord liaison, H&S, BCP & emergency response, office procedures, Projects; change management plans.
Approx 23 locations, 400,000 sq ft across EMEA. No direct reports, however there is a requirement to manage our strategic partners whilst acting as relationship manager with EMEA stakeholders
Position Description
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Workplace experience strategy creation, ownership, and delivery for CRES EMEA
- Overall responsibility for the client (internal and external) journey and experience across key EMEA locations
- Relationship manager with key business stakeholders
- Service provider contract management (external and internal / intragroup)
- Tenant Representative for building management matters; lease administration and workplace related
- Operational responsibility for services encompassing, food services, client services & front of house, general office services and supplies, whilst linking with Workplace Lead to ensure other services impacting the client journey are delivered effectively, such as cleaning, pest control, plants, mailroom, reprographics
- CRES representative for non-technical Environmental initiatives
- Executive ownership or support of assigned CRES projects across EMEA
- Crisis Management Team support
- Financial management of EMEA budgets
- Invoice and general administration
Knowledge, Skill, Experience & Qualifications
- Strategic and operational FM experience across geographically spread portfolio
- Effective communicator: ability to lead, gain trust, and cooperation (essential)
- Flexible approach, comfortable with ambiguity and managing change (essential)
- Self-driven, decisive, problem-solver, champion of continuous improvement (essential)
- Ability to plan and anticipate issues or conflicts (essential)
- Ability to meet deadlines and work within budget (essential)
- Computer literate with experience of Lotus Notes and Microsoft Office applications (desirable)
- Comfortable engaging with people with different language and culture (desirable).
