Role Summary

SMBC Group EMEA are looking for a Test Analyst for our Cash Management Solutions department to join our team.

 

This role is part of a rapidly growing CMS Team with a large and strategic mandate under the Transaction Banking Programme, focused on transforming how we deliver Cash Management services across EMEA.

 

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Analysing functional and technical specifications for CMS products.
  • Designing and maintaining test plans, test cases and test scripts for manual and automated testing.
  • Performing functional, integration, regression and system testing across CMS platforms.

This role will be based within Sumitomo Mitsui Finance Dublin Limited (SMFD), a wholly owned subsidiary of SMBC and is growing rapidly as a Centre of Excellence for the bank’s universal banking business across EMEA.  It provides a range of technology and operational support services, aligned to SMBC’s growth, innovation, and transformation strategies.

Position Description

As a Test Analyst in the Technology Department, you will be responsible for validating the functionality, performance and reliability of Cash Management Solutions (CMS), including channels, corporate integration, liquidity and reporting systems.

 

You will contribute to both manual and automated testing efforts, ensuring that systems meet business requirements and regulatory standards.

 

You will work closely with developers, business analysts and QA leads to clarify requirements and resolve issues.

 

Our role will enable you to:

  • Analyse functional and technical specifications for CMS products.
  • Design and maintain test plans, test cases and test scripts for manual and automated testing.
  • Perform functional, integration, regression and system testing across CMS platforms.
  • Develop and execute automated test scripts.
  • Log, track and manage defects using JIRA.
  • Work closely with developers, business analysts and QA leads to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and coordinate with business users for validation.
  • Maintain detailed records of test results, defects and resolutions.
  • Provide regular status updates and contribute to test summary and quality reports.
  • Ensure testing aligns with internal governance, audit and regulatory standards.
  • Validate system behaviour against Compliance requirements (e.g., AML/KYC, SWIFT standards).

 

What will you bring to the role?

  • Strong experience  in the banking industry, ideally within Corporate or Transaction Banking.
  • Strong understanding of Cash Management systems and workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with manual and automated testing methodologies.
  • Proficiency in test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman, JMeter).
  • Familiarity with test management platforms (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM, TestRail).
  • Exposure to regulatory testing and compliance validation (desirable).
