Role Summary

SMBC Group EMEA are looking for an ITAM & Technology Risk Support Analyst to work within our Infrastructure department. 

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Liaison to join our team in Dublin. This contract role will act as a key bridge between the Infrastructure department and the IT Asset Management (ITAM) team, and support liaison with the Technology Risk, and IT Audit functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering, interpreting, and delivering infrastructure asset data and insights to the ITAM team, to reduce the operational burden on Infrastructure SMEs and team leads.

 

This role will be situated in Sumitomo Mitsui Finance Dublin Limited (SMFD), a wholly owned subsidiary of SMBC.  It was established in 1989 and is now located in contemporary offices in the heart of Dublin’s Georgian quarter. It is a Centre of Excellence for SMBC’s business in Europe, Middle East & Africa and provides a growing range of intra-group services across a variety of Control and Support functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact between Infrastructure and ITAM teams, facilitating efficient information flow and collaboration.
  • Support Technology Risk and Audit teams by coordinating responses to infrastructure-related queries and reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate across all infrastructure teams to gather accurate asset data and ensure alignment with CMDB standards.
  • Provide insights and reporting on infrastructure assets using tools such as ServiceNow, Active Directory, VMware vCenter, SCCM, Tanium, LogicMonitor, Solarwinds, ControlUp, NICE NTR-X, Cisco Webex and MS-Teams.
  • Assist in maintaining and improving asset discovery and reporting processes.
  • Ensure data integrity and consistency within the CMDB (ServiceNow).
  • Identify opportunities to streamline Infrastructure asset management workflows and improve cross-team communication.
  • Support compliance and governance initiatives related to infrastructure asset management.

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience working within an Infrastructure department in a large enterprise environment.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure asset management practices and lifecycle.
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • ServiceNow (CMDB management)
    • Active Directory (asset reconciliation)
    • VMware vCenter (asset review and reporting)
    • SCCM (asset tracking and reporting)
    • Tanium, LogicMonitor, and ControlUp (or similar monitoring tools)
    • PowerBI for data analysis and reporting
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; comfortable working across multiple teams and levels.
  • Ability to interpret technical data and translate it into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Self-starter with strong organisational and problem-solving skills.

Desirable (Bonus) Skills:

  • Familiarity with infrastructure-related compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO, NIST, GDPR).
  • Experience supporting audit and risk management processes.
