Role Summary

SMBC Group EMEA are looking for a Technology Delivery Manager for our Cash Management Solutions department to join our team.

 

This role is part of a rapidly growing CMS Team with a large and strategic mandate under the Transaction Banking Programme, focused on transforming how we deliver Cash Management services across EMEA.

 

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Delivering the roadmap for CMS products and digital channels, ensuring timely and high-quality execution.
  • Leading cross-functional teams through the full delivery lifecycle, from planning and design to deployment and post-launch support.
  • Supporting the growth and capability development of the CMS delivery team, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.

This role will be based within Sumitomo Mitsui Finance Dublin Limited (SMFD), a wholly owned subsidiary of SMBC and is growing rapidly as a Centre of Excellence for the bank’s universal banking business across EMEA.  It provides a range of technology and operational support services, aligned to SMBC’s growth, innovation, and transformation strategies.

Position Description

As Technology Delivery Manager you will lead the delivery of Cash Management Solutions (CMS) and associated Digital Channels under our Transaction Banking Programme.

 

You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of CMS products—including channels, deposits, liquidity and reporting solutions—ensuring they are secure, compliant and aligned with Business and Customer needs.

 

You will collaborate with Global Transaction Banking teams, Compliance and Technology partners to align delivery with strategic goals.

 

Our role will enable you to:

  • Own the delivery roadmap for CMS products and digital channels, ensuring timely and high-quality execution.
  • Lead cross-functional teams through the full delivery lifecycle, from planning and design to deployment and post-launch support.
  • Collaborate with Global Transaction Banking teams, Compliance and Technology partners to align delivery with strategic goals.
  • Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with external partners for platform enhancements and integrations.
  • Ensure CMS solutions are scalable, secure and compliant with Banking regulations (e.g., PSD2, SWIFT standards, AML/KYC).
  • Oversee integration with core banking systems, ERP platforms and Client-facing Digital Channels.
  • Drive delivery practices, including planning, backlog prioritisation and retrospectives.
  • Ensure governance standards are met across delivery processes, including Risk, Compliance and Audit requirements.
  • Support the growth and capability development of the CMS delivery team, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
  • Mentor delivery leads and analysts, promoting best practices in digital delivery and stakeholder collaboration.

 

What will you bring to the role?

  • Experience in technology delivery or programme management in Banking or Financial services.
  • Strong understanding of Digital Banking technologies, API and integration patterns.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience with Corporate Banking platforms and Cash Management tools.
  • Familiarity with ISO 20022, SWIFT messaging and Open Banking API (desirable).
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity, data privacy and digital identity frameworks (desirable).
  • Agile certifications (e.g., Scrum Master, SAFe) or PMP certification (desirable).
