Role Summary

Is the next step in your career at SMBC Group EMEA? We’re looking for a Procurement Platform Functional Lead (Vice President) to join our team. 

You will act as technical lead for all EMEA change relating to the EMEA Procurement platform (Coupa) Directly performing small technical change and acting in an oversight role to external System Implementation Partners where required. You will work closely with EMEA Procurement team & project team members to interpret business requirements & operating model and develop functional outcomes.

You will:

  • Provide functional design, advisory and configuration support for key strategy and design elements for Coupa Procure to Pay, Contract Lifecycle Management, Sourcing and other in-scope modules for EMEA.
  • Participate in Coupa Procure-to-Pay projects involving configuration, implementation, testing and user training.
  • Provide occasional day-to-day administrative support of the Coupa Procure-to-Pay environment including applying periodic patches, reporting requirements, ad-hoc requests from business and production system support.

You will bring:

  • Strong experience within a Technology Implementation lead, Project Manager or Business Analyst role operating preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Certification in Coupa or a similar platform would be advantageous.
  • Demonstrable hands on technical understanding of Procure-to-Pay (Coupa, Ariba Oracle Procurement or Ivalua)

The (ITSD Cross Product) Business Process Management IT provides and supports a range of enterprise platforms that are used across our organisation, including Procurement, HR & Digital Workflow technology.

 

This role will sit within Sumitomo Mitsui Finance Dublin Limited (SMFD) is a wholly owned subsidiary of SMBC.  It was established in 1989 and is now located in contemporary offices in the heart of Dublin’s Georgian quarter. It is a Centre of Excellence for SMBC’s business in Europe, Middle East & Africa and provides a growing range of intra-group services across a variety of Control and Support functions

Position Description

  • Provide functional design, advisory and configuration support for key strategy and design elements for Coupa Procure to Pay, Contract Lifecycle Management, Sourcing and other in-scope modules for EMEA.
  • Participate in Coupa Procure-to-Pay projects involving configuration, implementation, testing and user training.
  • Provide occasional day-to-day administrative support of the Coupa Procure-to-Pay environment including applying periodic patches, reporting requirements, ad-hoc requests from business and production system support.
  • Work closely with ERP development teams in the creation, validation and maintenance of user interfaces and functional/non-functional requirements.
  • Maintain a configuration document of all Coupa-related changes.
  • Liaise across IT domains to deliver Coupa Procure-to-Pay functionality, including but not limited to infrastructure engineering, database, security and operations support.
  • Support Data Mapping/Integration design efforts, creating specifications for building of ERP integrations with Coupa environment.
  • Continuously review opportunities for improvement in how the Coupa platform is leveraged while bringing best practices to the forefront.
  • Ensure that proposed solutions comply with the company's technology direction as well as change management and security policies.
