Role Summary
This role is responsible for the end-to-end application management and production support of a suite of Compliance systems, including Communication Surveillance, Trade Surveillance, Employee Conflicts of Interest, and associated regulatory platforms.
Operating within the Back Office Application Management team, the role forms part of a wider cross-functional support model alongside Front Office and Middleware teams. It is focused on ensuring the stability, integrity, and regulatory compliance of critical applications, while providing effective incident management and contributing to continuous improvements in service delivery, controls, and operational resilience.
Position Description
This role provides hands-on production support for Compliance platforms, focusing on incident resolution, user support, and maintaining system availability. The Associate will manage incoming requests, perform daily monitoring activities, and escalate issues where required.
The role also supports change initiatives, audit activities, and documentation, while contributing to process improvements under the guidance of senior team members. Collaboration across technology teams and stakeholders is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage user requests and incidents, ensuring timely resolution and escalation where needed
- Perform batch monitoring and daily operational checks
- Support change management activities in collaboration with business and technology teams
- Engage with vendors to track and resolve issues
- Assist with audit requests and control evidence gathering
- Support project delivery by contributing to testing and controlled releases
- Assist with release management across PROD / REL / QA / UAT environments
- Coordinate with infrastructure teams to support platform stability
- Follow service delivery processes to ensure consistent support standards
This role reports to the Back Office Application Management Team Lead and works closely with wider Application Management teams to support a stable and compliant platform environment.
Skills - Knowledge - Experience
Essential:
- Experience in Application / Production Support or a similar operational environment
- Basic understanding of Incident and Change Management processes
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both peers and senior stakeholders
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
Desirable:
- Exposure to Compliance or Regulatory systems (e.g. surveillance, conflicts of interest platforms)
- Awareness of audit, risk, and regulatory processes
- Experience working with third-party vendors and external support teams
- Understanding of financial markets or regulatory environments, or a willingness to develop this knowledge
Systems / Applications:
- Exposure to support and/or development tools such as AutoSys, Splunk, PowerShell, ServiceNow, and JIRA
- Familiarity with service management and collaboration tools (e.g. ServiceNow, JIRA, Confluence)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
