Is the next step in your career at SMBC Group EMEA? We’re looking for a ServiceNow Developer to join our team. 

The ServiceNow Developer (HR) will configure, customize, and maintain HR Service Delivery (HRSD) application within the ServiceNow platform, ensuring compliance with best practices and delivering optimised HR workflows. The role involves collaborating with HR, Risk, and Compliance stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions and enhance employee experiences across EMEA.

• 3+ years of ServiceNow development experience, with strong expertise in HRSD modules and related components.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide API, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, and REST/SOAP integrations.
• Hands-on experience with platform upgrades, integrations (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors), and agile delivery practices.

• ServiceNow certifications such as CSA, CAD, and HRSD Implementation Specialist (preferred).
• Ability to implement secure data models, optimize performance, and troubleshoot HRSD workflows.
• Strong collaboration and documentation skills to work effectively with HR, risk, and compliance teams in an agile environment.

Business Area

The (ITSD Cross-Product) Business Process Management IT team is responsible for a range of enterprise platforms used across our organisation. These include Procurement Technology, HR Technology and Digital Workflow Platforms.

Position Description

Position Overview

• Configure, customize, and maintain HR Service Delivery (HRSD) applications within the ServiceNow platform, including Case and Knowledge Management, Employee Service Centre, and Lifecycle Events (Onboarding/Offboarding).
• Collaborate with HR, Risk, and Compliance stakeholders to gather requirements, translate policies into technical workflows, and deliver incremental value through agile sprints.
• Ensure compliance with ServiceNow best practices, minimize customizations, and maintain governance through detailed documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain catalog items, workflows, business rules, and integrations for HR processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to HRSD modules, and participate in upgrades and patching activities to ensure compatibility.
• Build high-quality UI experiences (e.g., Catalog Items, HR Knowledge, Dynamic Translations, Workspace/Next Experience) that simplify employee and compliance journeys.
• Produce solution designs, data dictionaries, interface contracts, and runbooks, and provide knowledge transfer to HR operations and compliance teams.

Impact & Scope

• Enhance ServiceNow HRSD capability across EMEA, supporting over 3,000 employees and managers and multiple business units.
• Maintain effective relationships with IT & Business leadership, HR, Finance, Compliance, and third-party service providers.
