• Work with Product Teams, Technical Delivery Managers, Architects, Data Engineers and Development Leads to support fast, efficient and high-quality change delivery.
• Design, develop, test, deploy and support secure, reusable and resilient integration solutions across SAP SuccessFactors, Databricks and downstream enterprise applications.
• Contribute to the transition from legacy point-to-point and file-based interfaces towards governed, API-led and data-product-based integration patterns.
The anticipated salary range for this role is 65,000 - 121,000 euros, with the final offer determined based on the candidate’s skills, experience, role scope, location, and relevant market factors. In addition to base salary, the role may be eligible for a discretionary incentive award and a competitive benefits package, including core benefits such as pension provision.
Background
The HR & Corporate IT Platforms team requires an agile integration specialist with strong hands-on expertise in SAP CPI, enterprise APIs and secure SFTP. Initially supporting the Global Horizon Programme, the role will then maintain and enhance the global integration estate. Working with business, application, data and architecture stakeholders across EMEA and globally, the specialist will design and deliver integrations connecting SAP SuccessFactors and other source systems with Databricks, regional platforms and enterprise applications. The role requires current knowledge of SAP Integration Suite, Databricks and modern enterprise integration patterns, alongside strong development and architecture practices. Solutions must be secure, resilient and supportable, with appropriate controls for sensitive data, operational monitoring and change management. The individual must also understand IT General Controls and regulatory expectations within a financial services environment.
Facts and Scale
• Key delivery role for EMEA HR technology and enterprise data integration, working with Product Owners, Technical Delivery Managers and Architects.
• Design and deliver SAP CPI flows, APIs and file-based interfaces integrating Databricks, vendor platforms and enterprise applications, in line with SDLC and support standards.
• Support secure, governed real-time, scheduled and event-driven data flows using REST, SOAP, OData, SFTP, CSV, XML and JSON.
• Contribute to IT strategy, regulatory compliance, operational resilience and reusable integration services.
• Promote Diversity and Inclusion across SMBC.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities
• Design, build, configure, test, deploy and support integration flows using SAP CPI / SAP Integration Suite.
• Develop and maintain REST APIs, SOAP web services, OData integrations and secure SFTP interfaces between SAP SuccessFactors, Databricks and downstream enterprise applications.
• Build SAP CPI iFlows using appropriate routing, message mapping, transformation, enrichment, validation, exception handling and orchestration patterns.
• Develop inbound data pipelines into Databricks and outbound interfaces from Databricks to regional and enterprise consumers, working closely with Data Engineering teams.
• Implement integrations using JSON, XML, CSV and other structured data formats, including schema validation and canonical data models where required.
• Configure and support secure authentication and connectivity using OAuth 2.0, certificates, SSH keys, API keys and other approved authentication mechanisms.
• Use the SAP SuccessFactors CompoundEmployee SOAP API where appropriate for employee hierarchy and delta extraction, and OData APIs for targeted and real-time data access.
• Design API-led integrations and minimise unmanaged point-to-point connectivity, applying reusable services, versioning, agreed interface contracts and enterprise integration standards.
• Develop monitoring, logging, alerting, retry, reconciliation and error-handling capabilities to ensure integrations are resilient, traceable and supportable.
• Diagnose and resolve integration incidents across SAP CPI, Databricks, source systems, downstream applications and network or authentication components.
• Deliver fast-paced, agile and high-quality software changes, contributing to Scrums, Sprints, release planning and controlled deployments.
• Produce and maintain technical designs, field mappings, interface specifications, deployment instructions, support runbooks and operational documentation.
• Perform unit testing and support system integration testing, regression testing, performance testing, user acceptance testing and production validation.
• Participate in code and design reviews, ensuring solutions meet development, security, data governance and architecture standards.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, source control, environment promotion, configuration management and automated deployment practices.
• Work with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, Data Engineers, application teams and third-party vendors to translate requirements into secure and scalable technical solutions.
• Protect sensitive and personal data through least-privilege access, encryption, controlled data movement, audit logging and compliance with applicable data protection requirements.
• Contribute to production support, problem management, root-cause analysis and continuous improvement of the integration estate.
