Role Summary
Is the next step in your career at SMBC Group EMEA? We’re looking for an EU Finance Architect & IT lead for Finance & Reg Reporting for our Finance IT department to join our team.
This position serves as a Finance Architect for Oracle ERP, EPM (Cloud and EBS) for SMBC EU AG/SMBC BI offices. Responsible for Implementing, improving, monitoring, and maintaining the bank’s Oracle financial application systems (i.e. Oracle General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets) to ensure operational efficiency and data integrity as well as provide functional support to end users. This job requires knowledge of Oracle ERP (Cloud and EBS).
Your responsibilities will include:
- Business Alignment: Collaborates with EU business stakeholders for Finance & Reg Reporting requirements for critical programs.
- Architecture Oversight: Support the EMEA Finance & Reg Reporting leads to develops and maintains the architecture vision, roadmap for Finance & Reg Reporting
- Team Leadership & Development : Managing and mentoring a team of IT professionals, fostering a high performance culture and providing technical guidance
For you to succeed in the role, you will need to have:
- Strong industry experience, of which considerable experience working on Oracle Financials in Finance organizations, typically banking sector.
- Strong understanding of finance and accounting principle & processes.
- Demonstrable experience of ERP systems (Oracle Financials)
- Demonstrable experience of full life cycle implementation and hands on knowledge for Oracle Financials, mainly Oracle General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets modules.
Business Area
Finance IT Dublin is part of Finance IT EMEA team under Technology - Cross Products Platforms Department. Finance IT delivers IT solutions and services to all EMEA legal entities and branches. We use Oracle Financials applications and in-house platforms to support business functions. Book Of Work comprises of strategic platform architecture and regulatory initiatives.
This role will sit within Sumitomo Mitsui Finance Dublin Limited (SMFD), a wholly owned subsidiary of SMBC. It was established in 1989 and is now located in contemporary offices in the heart of Dublin’s Georgian quarter. It is a Centre of Excellence for SMBC’s business in Europe, Middle East & Africa and provides a growing range of intra-group services across a variety of Control and Support functions.
Position Description
This is a finance architect and delivery lead role to create and manage a Centre of Excellence (COE) in Oracle Financial (EBS / ERP) Technology Platform, supporting EMEA Finance technology Book of Work. In addition, this role supports EMEA Head of Finance Technology & Regulatory Reporting Technology, who are based in London, for the local management and oversight of the Finance & Regulatory Reporting Dublin Team.
