Role Summary
- EM Sales and Trading help distribute primary transactions for DCM and provide liquidity to our clients in secondary markets.
- Contribute positively to the trading P&L in SMBC BI
- The annualised budget for this seat is in the region of $1m covering products such as EM/DM credit, IR swaps, SSA, Government bonds distribution into MENA accounts with the EM team budgeted to make around $10m P/L across three traders and 3 salespeople each year.

Position Description
- To help in the development of the EM sales desk and grow a meaningful client base across the EMEA region with a focus on MENA local accounts covering cross product sales
- Develop and nurture new and existing relationships with your clients to discuss current and future business challenges, opportunities and product requirements. Ensure that pertinent information is shared with the traders, members of DCM and Management where appropriate
- Identify client trends and themes and keep management and peers abreast of changing landscapes
- Increase trade volumes and meet, if not exceed set budget targets through proactive and dynamic approach
- Lead client onboarding efforts and KYC initiatives in a timely manner
- Work closely with DCM to enhance and increase primary market activity in the MENA region
