Role Summary
As an Operations Officer in the Business Support (BS) department, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accurate and timely execution of daily tasks across Payments, Remittance and Cash Management Services. You will be responsible for maintaining high operational standards, adhering to internal procedures and controls, and delivering excellent service to both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure daily business-as-usual operations are completed accurately and on time.
- Manage and prioritize email communications across multiple group mailboxes (Payments, Remittance, Guarantees, Cash Management).
- Handle customer and internal inquiries via email and phone, ensuring timely and appropriate responses.
- Process and monitor incoming/outgoing payments, manual payment orders, and direct debits/standing orders.
- Administer and follow up on special tariffs, fees, and remittance charges.
- Support Trade Finance operations including document handling, transaction due diligence and follow up until completion of transaction.
- Manage Guarantee requests (issuance, amendments, cancellations) and liaise with relevant departments.
- Maintain and update e-banking contracts and ensure compliance with KYC requirements.
- Perform daily checks on Nostro accounts, account maintenance, and end-of-day reconciliations.
- Participate in monthly controls, outsourced services reviews, and Third Party Risk management related tasks.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and maintain up-to-date desktop procedures.
- Participate in system build testing and support London Operations when required.
