IT Security and Technology Risk Analyst

Is the next step in your career at SMBC Group EMEA? We’re looking for a IT Security and Technology Risk Analyst to join our IT team. 

Support the delivery of security and entity-level risk assurance, compliance readiness, and governance frameworks across Information and Cyber Security within EMEA, with a focus on the Middle East and Africa. Coordinate risk reporting, policy updates, intragroup service management, and action tracking for issues raised by internal and external oversight bodies to ensure resilience and compliance.  

ESSENTIALS OF THE ROLE

• Governance Framework Management – Maintain and enhance EMEA Information & Cyber Security governance frameworks, policies, and standards to ensure compliance with evolving regulations and threats.
• Reporting & Performance Tracking – Coordinate reporting requirements, prepare security performance dashboards, and track improvements and management actions to achieve regulatory maturity.
• Process and Efficiency Improvement – Develop and maintain intragroup frameworks for services, while continuously seeking improvements in governance and compliance reporting efficiency.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Knowledge of Cybersecurity Frameworks and Regulations – Strong understanding of frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, COBIT, ITIL, and experience with regulatory requirements like DIFC, ADGM and QFCRA will be advantageous.
• Performance and Compliance Management Skills – Ability to develop and maintain security controls, metrics, and compliance processes, including policy design and technical authoring.
• Communication and Stakeholder Management – Excellent interpersonal skills for liaising with senior management and stakeholders, plus proficiency in creating presentations and clear documentation.

Business Area

This role forms part of the Dubai IT Team, supporting the SMBC Dubai Head of IT, SMBC BI Head of Security GRC, and the CISO organisation in the delivery of security risk and assurance activities and reporting across EMEA in support of compliance.

Position Description

Assist in delivering risk assurance, governance, and compliance activities across Information and Cyber Security within EMEA, focusing on maintaining frameworks, managing intragroup relationships, and coordinating oversight actions to ensure regulatory readiness and resilience.
